Freshly Made Sketches #61

Hey Everyone

Jennifer T has created this great sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches.  This card started out being something completely different than what it finished up as – but I thought I’d mix it up and create a wedding card for a change.

Don’t you love it when you can find other uses for products than what they were designed for?  The retired Stampin’ Up! designer series paper that I’ve used on this card is called Christmas Cocoa – soooooo not a wedding paper, but I think it works really well for an elegant wedding card.  I’ve heat embossed (yes, I’ve actually found my heat tool!), fussy cut out the sentiment and raised it up with dimensionals.  I punched out a heart and added a rhinestone – every bride needs a little bit of bling on her wedding day! To finish off my card I added a white satin double bow.

Here’s my card:

Merry Monday Challenge #36

Hey Everyone

So this is a first for me – I broke open my previously unopened brayer.  The thing scared the life out of me but I wanted to overcome my fear of it and give it a go.  Be gentle on me for my first time using it….

I tried the reflection technique with my Lovely as a Tree stamp set.  I’m hoping I was able to achieve the look I was going for.  Here’s Lesley’s Merry Monday sketch that inspired me to try using my brayer.
