Merry Monday #44

Hey Everyone

Merry Monday is back for 2013! Lesley is changing it up this year so there will be a mix of sketches, colour combinations and inspiration challenges.  For our first week back our challenge is to create a project using the following colours:

I’m letting my designer series paper do most of the work for my card today.  Both DSPs are from Stampin’ Up!s Festival of Prints DSP stack and I think work really well with the challenge colours.

Head over to Lesley’s blog and check out the gorgeous inspiration the Design Team have created – and if you have time why don’t you create a card for Christmas? (it’s never too early to start, you know).

Pals Paper Arts #148

Hey Everyone

The Design Team at Pals Paper Arts have give us the following colours to use for our projects this week.

I have to tell you this card came about because of my mum.  She phoned me just before I was about to create my card and I told her I hadn’t opened my core-dinations cardstock as yet.  She also asked me to stamp up some holly from Watercolour Winter for her so I decided to use some on my card too. Thanks for the inspiration mum!

Dynamic Duos #31 & Mojo Monday #270

Hey Everyone

The Design Team over at Dynamic Duos have given us the challenge this week of using Certainly Celery and Real Red on our cards.  I don’t know how it happened but my card started out with poppies on it and somehow it turned into a Christmas card. As we’re allowed to use a neutral colour with the challenge colours, I’ve used my favourite designer series paper – Fan Fair DSP – I can’t stop using it!

I’ve combined challenges for my card and have used the layout from this weeks Mojo Monday challenge.

Inspired by Stamping Inspiration Challenge #37

Hey Everyone

The Design Team at Inspired by Stamping have given us the following inspiration picture to create our projects this week – how pretty is the styling?

IBSIC37pic

The main colours we can use on our cards are green, red & white.  I don’t have a huge amount of red on my card but I have used a lot of green and white.  I love the flourishy frame from Affection Collection and think it really works for a Christmas card.  I stamped the nestles from Watercolour Winter and the tiny poinsettia from a retired Stampin’ Up! set called Season of Joy – I had to get red in there somewhere!

Dynamic Duos #28 & Inspired by Stamping Inspiration Challenge #34

Hey Everyone

I’ve had such a wonderful day – my mum came over and played in my craft room with me all day! My mum lives just over an hour away from me so we don’t often get the whole day to  just do whatever we want, with no interruptions – thanks mummy for a fabulous day!

One of the cards I made today is for the gorgeous colour challenge over at Dynamic Duos this week.  I’ve also combined the colour challenge with this fabulous sketch over at Inspired by Stamping Inspiration Challenge.

Here’s what I came up with:

Thanks for stopping by.

Products Used:
Cardstock: Sahara Sand, Very Vanilla, Sahara Sand DSP
Ink: Cherry Cobbler, Cherry Cobbler Marker, Sahara Sand Marker
Stamp Sets: Watercolour Winter, Merry & Type

Merry Monday Challenge #40

Hey Everyone

I was just sitting here wording in my head what I was going to say in this post, when I realised I’d forgotten to let you know my news.  Lesley asked me if I’d like to stay on her Merry Monday Design Team until March!  Of course I said yes, so I’m a Merry Maker for a few more weeks – you’ll be seeing more Christmas cards for a while yet.   I’m happy to say I’ve kept my record of playing along with every challenge from the start of the year.  You should see my stash!

Anyway enough of my babbling – here’s Lesley’s sketch:

I’ve used my newbie Stampin’ Up! stamp set again – Watercolour Winter – love how easy colouring is when you use a two-step stamping set. Instead of two strips (like on Lesley’s sketch) I’ve torn my two strips of DSP to give it a more vintage look.  Here’s my card:

Thanks for stopping by.

Merry Monday Challenge #39

Hey Everyone

I’m back and this time with my card for Lesley’s Merry Monday Challenge.  How are you going with your Christmas cards?  I’ve got so many, I’ll be right for the next three Christmases!

I’ve used my newest Stampin’ Up! Christmas stamp called Watercolour Winter.  I stamped the outline with Early Espresso and then I coloured my holly and berries in Cherry Cobbler and Old Olive directly onto the stamp.  I then used my trusty old stamp-a-ma-jig to line up the colours with the outline. Because the main panel is wide I stamped the image twice and fussy cut it to make it fit.  Here’s my card:

We’d love to see you join us this week – head over to the challenge and check out the gorgeous creations the design team have created. Thanks for stopping by.
