Create with Connie & Mary #182

Hey Everyone

I’ve used an unused until now stamp set called Charming for the this weeks sketch challenge at Create with Connie & Mary.   I love a background script stamp and also a flower stamp, so this set is perfect for me.  I’ve used my Pool Party & Basic Black markers to colour in the flower and then painstakingly cut it out (almost cut it in half twice!)- I was going to raise it up, but as the stems are so fine it didn’t work very well.

Here’s my card:

Hey Everyone

The challenge at Just Add Ink this week is to Just Add Tania Gould – we get to CASE one of Tania’s card from her blog which you can find by clicking here.  I first found Tania’s blog when I started my own blog earlier this year.  From her very creative site I learnt how to make roses and was going to CASE a card that I could add a rose, but then I changed my mind and made this card instead.

This is Tania’s card and the layout that I was inspired by:

Hey Again

For my next card I’m combining two challenges again.  For the sketch below from The Sweet Stop Sketch Challenge I’m using the colour palette from Stampin Royalty Challenge to create my card.  I’m the first to admit that brighter colours scare me, so I needed the sketch to give me a little guidance.

CASE Study Challenge #56

Hey Everyone

My second card tonight is for the CASE Study Challenge.  This months muse, Julie Lacey, has a gorgeous card style and uses colours that I struggle to put together.  I’ve used similar colours that Julie has used and kept the embellishing and layering to a minimum (which is unusual for me!).  This is her card that we used for inspiration.

And this is what I came up with.

Mojo Monday 204 & CR84FN 36

Hey Everyone

Who would’ve thought that I actually loved making a card that had Daffodil Delight in it? Yellow is not a colour that comes to mind when I sit down and make a card.  I’m generally the Basic Black, Early Espresso, Crumb Cake – well, neutral colour kinda girl.  The colour palette at CR84FN Challenge this week is Kraft, Yellow & Neutral – gorgeous together and not one I would normally put together, but I’m so glad I had a go at it.  I’ve teamed it with this weeks sketch at Mojo Monday and came up with the following card.

Paper Players #59 & CCMC #162 Challenges

Hey Everyone

I’ve combined two challenges tonight for my card.  At The Paper Players this week there’s a colour challenge using colours that scare me – Pinks.  I’m way out of my comfort zone with one pink let alone three!  I needed help with them so I combined the colour challenge with the sketch challenge over at Create with Connie & Mary.

I’ve flipped the sketch for my card and this is what I came up with:

This card was a winner at Create with Connie & Mary and made the Headlines at The Paper Players.
