CASE Study 2nd Anniversary Challenge

Hey Everyone

I haven’t had much of a chance to play along with CASE Study for a few weeks, but as soon as I saw their challenge this week for their 2nd Anniversary (well done on the 2 years girls!) I knew this challenge was right up my alley – it’s to design a project with your signature style.  Of course I’ve gone vintage – with lots of distressing and lots of  sponging. I attended Melbourne’s Heartfelt Stampin’ Event a couple of days ago and made this card in my signature style but haven’t been able to post it until today. I wanted my sentiment to match the whole Heartfelt theme but as I didn’t have a stamp that said Heartfelt, I printed one out from my computer.

The girls have all got together and organised a blog hop – head over to their challenge blog and check it out by clicking here – you’ll be totally inspired by all the creativity goin’ on.

Thanks for stopping by.

Cheers

The Paper Players #101 & Dynamic Duos #8

Hey Everyone

I’ve had a couple of days of feeling unwell, so I haven’t been able to post this card until today.  I think this cold weather we’re having is getting to me!  I’ve made this card for two challenges – The Paper Players where Lesley has come up with the following great sketch:

And the Dynamic Duos colour challenge where this week the challenge is to use the following colours:

I have to say – I have never combined these colours together before, but I found I really like them and will probably use them again. Here’s my card:

The Paper Players Challenge #90

Hey Again Everyone

My next card today is for the the pretty colour challenge at The Paper Players Challenge.  When I first saw this combo of colours by LeAnne I was a little unsure how to make them work them as I’m generally not a “blue” person, but I’m pretty pleased with how this came out in the end.

Here’s what I came up with:

I did stray from the colour combo a little as I’m on hols still and only have Night of Navy cardstock instead of Not Quite Navy and I only have Baja Breeze Seam Binding at this stage – I’ll be buying Pool Party in my next order.

Thanks for stopping by.

Mojo Monday #235

Hey Everyone

I’m back with another card, this time for the sketch challenge at Mojo Monday.  I made some flowers for the card I made earlier today and didn’t use them all on that card, so I made it my mission to use them up for this card.

Here’s this week sketch:

Here’s my card:

Thanks for taking a look.

Mojo Monday #231

Hey Everyone

I had a bit of time to craft tonight so I was able to make my card to enter into this weeks Mojo Monday Challenge a bit earlier than usual.  I had no idea where I was going when I started this card but I ended up “going vintage” because I really do love this style.

Here’s my card:

Just Add Ink #79 – Just Add Tearing/Distressing

Hey Everyone

At Just Add Ink this week their challenge is to – Just Add Tearing and/or Distressing. This one’s right up my alley because I love to do both.  I’ve done both tearing and distressing as well as daubing and general dirtying up of the card.  I know I’ve added another tag this week, but the Eiffel Tower was not enough for the circle and I thought it needed a little extra!

This card was featured at My Crafty Picks #29

Anyway back to the real reason I’m here.  The card below was made by Dawn Woleslage for CASE Study Challenge.  We get to CASE her cards for the month of July and put our own spin on them.

PPA102 – Summertime & The Livin’ is Easy

Hey Everyone

Another Sunday, another day spent at the footy with my son in the freezing cold.  Luckily the rain held off until we were leaving this week.  This week at Pals Paper Arts their challenge is Summertime & the livin’ is easy.  We used the following photo for inspiration to make whatever summer says to us.

I really love the colours used in the photo, but as I sat down to make my card I threw the inital idea I had out the window and changed my colours to Basic Black and Daffodil Delight.  The Daffodil Delight was used because it’s the colour of the sun and the Basic Black just because it went with the Daffodil Delight!

Thanks for stopping by.

Cardstock: Basic Black, Daffodil Delight, Whisper White, Basic Black DSP
Ink: Basic Black
Stamp Sets: Very Vintage Jumbo Wheel, Short & Sweet
Other Products: Brads, Oval Punch, Scallop Oval Punch, Flower Punches, Bird Punch
