Freshly Made Sketches #285

Hey Everyone

Who’s ready for a new sketch at Freshly Made Sketches? Me! I really do love Amy O’Neill’s sketches. Her cards are just as amazing! I may have added one or two more shapes than the sketch, but I had to have bunch of flowers and leaves to go with them!

My weekends are usually spent cleaning, grocery shopping, washing and more cleaning.  My son helped me out this weekend with all the boring stuff, so I was able to spend a little more time in my craft room colouring.  The flowers and leaves from Stampin’ Up!s Penned and Painted are my favourite to colour. The designer series paper I have used is Pop of Pink Specialty DSP.

The design team at Freshly Made Sketches are going to wow you with their cards. Head over to Freshly Made Sketches and take a look.

Just Add Ink #356

Hey Everyone

It’s time for a new challenge at Just Add Ink.  This week our challenge for you is to :

I decided to go with two balloons and two circles.  The Stampin’ Up! stamp set I have used is Balloon Adventures. I’ve love a layered card and have gone to town with circles and a banner and on top of those, a sentiment in a banner.  My balloons are coloured lightly with Watercolor Pencils and I stamped the background with a smidge of dots from Timeless Textures.

The team at Just Add Ink have created gorgeous cards to inspire you. Head over to Just Add Ink and check them out. While you’re there, we would love you to play along.

Freshly Made Sketches #284

Hey Everyone

Oh I love a great sketch! This weeks sketch at Freshly Made Sketches has been designed by the talented cardmaker and talented sketch maker Karren Johnson.

The pretty colour combination I have used on my card is – Soft Sky, Mossy Meadow & Sweet Sugarplum.  A combo I have never used before, but found I really love these colours together.  The flowers I have used are from Stampin’ Up!s Special reason and I have paired them with the flower and leave dies from Stylish Stems Framelit Dies.  I stamped the sentiment and frame around the sentiment die in Basic Black ink so it would stand out a bit more – it is also from Special Reason.

Here’s my card:

TGIFC #103 Sketch Challenge

Hey Everyone

I had trouble getting motivated cleaning up my craft room on Sunday as we had a break in early on Sunday morning.  Who breaks into a garage at 9am on Easter Sunday?  Apparently criminals in my area…..  Because I was so sidetracked and couldn’t concentrate on my tidying my craft room, I decided to whip up a quick card for the challenge at TGIF Challenge.  And I do mean quick……it took no time at all!

High Tide is fast becoming my favourite man card go-to stamp set.  The colours I have used on my card are Crumb Cake, Early Espresso and Soft Sky.  The sentiment I have used is from Four You (I know, I use it all the time – but it’s the perfect size and I love the font!).  A bit of Linen Thread and a couple of Candy Dots and my card was done.

Here’s what I created:

Freshly Made Sketches #283

Hey Everyone

Two posts in one night! I’m on a roll!

This card is for the new sketch that the wonderfully talented Jen Brum has designed for us at Freshly Made Sketches.

Time for a man card.  I am loving Stampin’ Up!s High Tide and thought it worked really well with Jen’s sketch – it must’ve been the wavy line that had me thinking this.  The designer series paper I’ve used is from Pop of Pink Specialty Designer Series Paper. Here’s the card I created:

Colour INKspiration Challenge #7

Hey Everyone

The card I’m sharing today is for the newest colour challenge and at Colour INKspiration Challenge.

Colour INKspiration is found on Facebook – we would love it if you could play along.  Link up a project to our Facebook page.  You have two weeks create a project. I can’t wait to see what you create with this very pretty colour combo below:

I’ve been away on our yearly holiday for the past 10 days and made this card while I was away.  I try and fit as many Stampin’ Up! products as I can into the boat to take along, but when it comes down to making a card, I always find I never have exactly what I need.  When all else fails, Penned and Painted is my fallback stamp set.  For some extra interest I added some pink accents from Oh So Succulent and some leaves from Picture Perfect – quite a combination of sets!

Here’s my card:

The next hop along the way is the wonderfully talented (and fellow Melbournian) Rachel Palmieri.  You’re going to love Rachel’s project as much as I do!

Just Add Ink #354

Hey Everyone

We have a gorgeous inspiration picture challenge at Just Add Ink for you this week:

I thought “vintage” as soon as I saw this photo and dragged out an old favourite retired Stampin’ Up! stamp set called Bloom with Hope.  I watercoloured the flowers with Blackberry Bliss and a touch of Hello Honey.  The leaves are coloured with Pear Pizzazz and Always Artichoke.  To add woodgrain to my circle I stamped Hardwood in Crumb Cake onto some Crumb Cake cardstock.  For the background, I applied my Crumb Cake Ink pad directly to my mat and spritzed it with water. I then put my cardstock directly onto it and heated it with my heat tool to dry it off.
