Pals Paper Arts #144 & Create with Connie & Mary Challenge #221

Hey Everyone

I don’t experiment much with colour combinations, so colours challenges are great for me. When I saw this gorgeous combo over at Pals Paper Arts this week I fell in love with these earthy colours and know that I will use them again.

I’ve teamed these colours with this versatile sketch from Create with Connie & Mary.

Mojo Monday #247

Hey Everyone

Well the cold weather continued today in Melbourne.  I was absolutely freezing my toes off at my son’s footy game even though I wore my husband’s thick work socks!  I was really glad when the game finished so I could get back in the car and boost up the heater until I thawed out.

My card tonight is for the this weeks sketch challenge at Mojo Monday.  This week is round or square – I went square:

The Paper Players Challenge #93 & Mojo Monday #239

Hey Everyone

I decided to combine two challenges for my card tonight.  There’s a fun challenge over at The Paper Players where we play tic-tac-toe and choose three items from the grid below to create our projects.

I chose to use the following from the right side (although I think I qualify for a few other boxes as well):

  • Square Card
  • Ribbon
  • Designer Paper

The design for my card is from this weeks Mojo Monday Challenge – love this sketch and will probably use this one again.

Also I’ve got a bit of exciting news – I’m guest designing for the month of May at The Paper Players! I’ve been a regular player at The Paper Players for a while now and just love their weekly challenges.  I’m looking forward to playing along with the design team for the next four weeks!

Thanks for taking a look.

Pals Paper Arts #133

Hey Everyone

This is my 4th and final post tonight (I promise).  I love the challenges at Pals Paper Arts and I especially love Margaret’s sketches – I wish there was one every week!

Can you tell what my “theme of the day” was?  Spice Cake DSP has been used on all four of my cards. Prior to my cards today I’d only used it once before, so I was determined to use up my cardstock as I think I’m becoming a hoarder! 🙂

Here’s my card:

Merry Monday Challenge #16

Hey Everyone

Here’s this weeks sketch from Lesley’s Merry Monday Challenge.

I’ve gone with Christmas Lodge this week.  I really like this set but it hasn’t made it to the Australian catalogue as yet (so I had to buy it off ebay!).  I added some trees from Lovely as a Tree around the lodge to make it appear as if it was in the woods.  I then stamped it a second time and cut around it and raised it up to add a little dimension.

Thanks for taking a look.

Create with Connie & Mary Challenge #194

Hey Everyone

For my card last week at Create with Connie and Mary I confessed I hadn’t opened my Everyday Enchantment DSP before that challenge.  This week my confession is that I soooooo wanted Spice Cake DSP, so when it came out here in Australia late last year I had to have it so I brought it straight away.  When I got it, I put it aside and haven’t opened it until today – that’s how much I wanted it!  Anyway enough of the confessions, here’s the sketch from this weeks Create with Connie & Mary Challenge:

And here’s my card:

Thanks for taking a look.
