CAS(E) this Sketch #248

Hey Everyone

Sundays seem to be my most common day to craft.  After making design team cards, I usually try and play along with a challenge.  I’ve chosen this weeks sketch at CAS(E) this Sketch for my card – isn’t it a cool one?

It seems that Christmas has done the usual thing and snuck up on me again.  It’s only 34 days until Santa arrives so I’ve used this weeks sketch to another another card to my collection.

Santa’s Sleigh is a stamp set I really haven’t inked up much. I felt it was time to give this reindeer, Christmas tree and presents some time to shine on my card.  The sentiment is also from this set.  My reindeer and presents are fussy cut but the Christmas Tree is cut with the matching Santa’s Sleight Framelits.  My images are all stamped with Black Memento Ink and I’ve coloured the images with a combination of retired Blendabilities and Stampin’ Up Blends.

The designer series paper that I’ve used is from Be Merry Designer Series Paper.  I really need to get stuck into some more cards to use up this gorgeous pack before it retires.

Here’s my card:

Thanks for stopping by.

Cheers

TGIF #125, Fusion Challenge – Teacup Flowers

Hey Everyone

I love lazy Sundays! I had a chance to play along with a couple of challenges today.  The card I’m sharing is for two challenges.  The first is for the TGIF Challenge where it’s theme week.  The theme is create a card featuring transportation.  The second challenge I’m entering my card for is the sketch challenge at this weeks Fusion Challenge.

Here are their challenge pics:

I really do love the gorgeous flowery inspiration pic from Fusions challenge (as you know, I adore anything flowery), but I have only used this weeks sketch for my card.  My Christmas card stash needed adding to more than my flower card stash!

I’ve probably got a ton of transportation stamp sets but I couldn’t go past Santa’s transport – a sleigh!  I’ve created a Christmas card with a glitzy copper and black sleigh.  I really like non-traditional colours for Christmas so my trees and DSP are black.  The designer series paper I’ve used is Stampin’ Up!s Merry Music Specialty DSP.  The sleigh and trees are cut with  Santa’s Sleigh Thinlits Dies and the sentiment is from the matching Santa’s Sleigh stamp set.

Here’s the card I created:

Thanks for stopping by.
