Pals Paper Arts #222 & Retro Sketches #135

Hey Everyone

I’m back with another card I made today.  This time I’ve combined my card for the following challenges – Pals Paper Arts and Retro Sketches where you can use any past sketch.  Here’s PPA’s colour combo and the fab sketch I chose from Retro Sketches.

I’ve had Stampin’ Up!s Choose Happiness sitting unopened on my bookcase for a little while now and decided it was time to ink it up.  I’ve used my Calypso Coral and Daffodil Delight blendabilities to give the flower some colour and the leaves are coloured with my Old Olive blendabilities.  I know Old Olive isn’t part of the challenge colours, but I’m hoping the DT at Pals Paper Arts won’t mind.  I finger walked Dictionary through Early Espresso ink and then stamped it off once on photocopy paper to dull the colour.  I then finger walked it on my cardstock so you can see bits of the print in the background.  The sentiment is from Petite Pairs and I’ve used Banner Blast for the banners. Here’s my card:

Create with Connie & Mary Challenge #323 & Inspired by Stamping Inspiration Challenge #86

Hey Everyone

I hope you’re all having a fabulous weekend.  It’s Sunday evening here in Australia and we have had the most beautiful weather over the weekend.  I almost didn’t to leave the sun to head into my craft room.  The card I’m sharing today is for the sketch challenge at Create with Connie & Mary and the colour challenge at Inspired by Stamping.

These are colours that you probably don’t expect for Christmas, but I thought I’d give them a go. I’ve used Stampin’ Up!s Ornamental Pine and the sentiment is from a retired set called Tiny Tags.  Here’s my card:

Dynamic Duos #28 & Inspired by Stamping Inspiration Challenge #34

Hey Everyone

I’ve had such a wonderful day – my mum came over and played in my craft room with me all day! My mum lives just over an hour away from me so we don’t often get the whole day to  just do whatever we want, with no interruptions – thanks mummy for a fabulous day!

One of the cards I made today is for the gorgeous colour challenge over at Dynamic Duos this week.  I’ve also combined the colour challenge with this fabulous sketch over at Inspired by Stamping Inspiration Challenge.

Here’s what I came up with:

Pals Paper Arts #137

Hey Everyone

Margaret from Pals Paper Arts has designed this wonderful sketch for us to use this week.

So have you noticed I’m going through a real Sahara Sand faze at the moment?  I found I hadn’t used it in ages, so I’m trying a few different colour combinations with it at the moment. I really like it teamed with Elegant Eggplant as I’ve done here.  Here’s my card:

Create with Connie & Mary #182

Hey Everyone

I’ve used an unused until now stamp set called Charming for the this weeks sketch challenge at Create with Connie & Mary.   I love a background script stamp and also a flower stamp, so this set is perfect for me.  I’ve used my Pool Party & Basic Black markers to colour in the flower and then painstakingly cut it out (almost cut it in half twice!)- I was going to raise it up, but as the stems are so fine it didn’t work very well.

Here’s my card:

Thanks for stopping by.
