Here’s my card which as you may’ve noticed is a more cleaner style than I normally do (I was giving clean and simple a go, well as clean and simple as I get!)

Thanks for stopping by.

Ink: Pool Party, Lucky Limeade Marker
Stamp Sets: Apothecary Art, Occasional Quotes (retired)

Freshly Made Sketches #33

Hey Everyone

The following sketch was provided by the very talented Jen at Freshly Made Sketches this week:

I really love this Twitterpated DSP because I’m such a fan of Cherry Cobbler. I’ve teamed it with Pool Party DSP and used the vines from Precious Butterflies which I haven’t inked in a long time.  Here’s my card:

Thanks for stopping by.

Freshly Made Sketches #26

Hey Everyone

The very talented Jen Mitchell has created the following sketch for us this week at Freshly Made Sketches. These girls come up with amazing sketches every week – click here to take you to this weeks challenge and check out what the crafty design team has come up with to inspire us.

As I was putting my card together I realised I’d unintentionally used the same colours in my card as the colours in the sketch (except for the orange)!  I just love these colours together!

Here’s my card:

The Paper Players Challenge #79 & Freshly Made Sketches #19

Hey Everyone

I’m entering two challenges with my card today – The Paper Players Challenge #79: Tag You’re It (oh, and it’s a clean and simple challenge which I struggle with!) and I’ve used Jen’s sketch from Freshly Made Sketches. One of my favourite colour combinations at the moment is Early Espresso, Crumb Cake, Pool Party and Very Vanilla – so I’ve gone with this today.

Thanks for taking a look at my attempt at clean and simple.

I was awarded A Cut Above this week at The Papers Players Challenge

Create with Connie & Mary #182

Hey Everyone

I’ve used an unused until now stamp set called Charming for the this weeks sketch challenge at Create with Connie & Mary.   I love a background script stamp and also a flower stamp, so this set is perfect for me.  I’ve used my Pool Party & Basic Black markers to colour in the flower and then painstakingly cut it out (almost cut it in half twice!)- I was going to raise it up, but as the stems are so fine it didn’t work very well.

Here’s my card:

Thanks for stopping by.

Just Add Ink – #98 – Just Add Sparkle

Hey Again

I said in my earlier post that I only had one card tonight, but I was able to whip up another one.  I made this card for my niece’s 7th Birthday and am entering it into this weeks challenge at Just Add Ink – Just Add Sparkle.  I’ve come to the conclusion that I am “kid card challenged” as this one started out way different than what it ended up being.  I started with the glittery number 7 and wanted to put it on the front of the card, but ended up putting it on the inside of the card as I couldn’t make it work with the butterflies.

Here’s what I came up with:

And one of the inside show you can see the sparkle (not a very good photo though):

Thanks for stopping by.
