Directly after Onstage, I left for a 10 day holiday on the Gold Coast in Queensland. It was so good to feel the sun on my face everyday and basically unwind. On my return, of course I had to play with this face……and dodge her sharp teeth! She is Eden, my 11 week old silly puppy.
My craft room was calling to me as soon as I got up this morning. It’s been over two weeks since I’ve created and I was hanging to touch my new goodies. I found the following colour challenge at Global Design Project to play along with – how perfect are these colours for Christmas?
Oh these colours are just gorgeous together – so rich and elegant. It’s hard to pick a favourite side when it comes to choices of Joyous Noel Specialty DSP. I’ve used a piece of Merry Merlot and a strip of Tranquil Tide DSPs on my card. I added a rectangle piece of Crumb Cake Cardstock and an embossed circle for texture.
These holly images are from Joyous Noel Stamp Set. I’ve stamped them in Merry Merlot Ink with the centre of them being stamped off once on a scrap piece of paper. My leaves are made with my Sprig Punch and Tranquil Tide Cardstock. I scrounged through my Baker’s Twine tray and found a spool of Baker’s Twine that may or may not be Tranquil Tide – I can’t remember where it came from. GDP Team – forgive me if it’s not the correct colour!
The sentiment I’ve used is also from Joyous Noel Stamp Set. I’ve stamped it in Merry Merlot Ink directly on to Crumb Cake Cardstock. The sweet little pearls are from Share What You Love Artisan Pearls.
Here’s what I created:

This is my second post tonight! The card I’ve created this time is for the newest sketch at Freshly Made Sketches. Our cool sketch has been designed by one of my favourite card makers Amy O’Neill. Amy’s cards are wonderfully put together and she combines THE best colours.
Yep! It’s time for another Christmas card. Think I may just get there with a couple of these ones ready to stick together. For this card, I cut a couple of isosceles (?) triangles to create some Christmas trees. I cut these on my Stampin’ Trimmer. They’re made from Mossy Meadow spotted DSP. I layered them at different heights on my Stitched Oval that was cut on my Bigshot with my Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies.
I cut two Whisper White Snowflakes with my Seasonal Layers Thinlits Dies and layered them on each side of my triangle trees. I then cut some Whisper White Perfect Pines Thinlits Dies to layer under the right side of the oval to match the sketch. There was a Pear Pizzazz sprig sitting on my desk, so I added this too just because I could.
The sentiment I’ve stamped on my Pretty Label Punch is one of my favourite Christmas sentiments. It’s from a set called Peaceful Noel. I added a touch of Soft Sea Foam watercolouring in the background under all the layers, but it hasn’t showed up really well.
The team at Freshly Made Sketches have created awesome cards with Amy’s sketch. Click here to take you to the challenge and take a look the cards they’ve created.

Welcome to a new colour challenge at Colour INKspiration Challenges. You all probably know by now that our Colour INKspiration Challenge is a facebook challenge. The design team provide inspiration for you in the way of a blog hop. After being totally inspired by our blog hop, we would love to see you link up a project to our facebook group.
This time our challenge for you is to create a project using the following:
I had heaps of combos in mind for this challenge, but ended up going with:
- Rich Razzleberry
- Blackberry Bliss
- Old Olive
Peaceful Noel is such a pretty set and was itching to be fussy cut. I’ve stamped the leaves in a combination of Old Olive and Rich Razzleberry Inks.
The sentiment is also from Peaceful Noel and is stamped in Blackberry Bliss. The corners of my Whisper White Cardstock have a little bit of jazzing added to them. The stamp set the corner stamp comes from is called Around The Corner. These have also been stamped in Blackberry Bliss.
The circle behind my sentiment is from Festive Farmhouse Designer Series Paper – I can’t tell you how much I am loving this pack – although I probably just did…. I have used some strips of Blackberry Bliss and Rich Razzleberry Cardstock and a smidge of Rich Razzleberry Velvet Ribbon.
The next hop along the way is a gorgeous creation designed by Monique Fielder. Have fun hopping!

New goodies arrived on my doorstep the other day. I knew they arrived because my Ring Doorbell System showed me that the delivery man rang my doorbell. I actually got so excited, I screenshot it….. I’m ignoring the fact that this is probably considered stalking by many people, but I was just so happy to see that big brown box!
The box arrived in time for our newest sketch at Freshly Made Sketches. This fabulous sketch has been designed by Jen Mitchell. Jen’s use of colours and perfect stamp choices had me at hello long before I joined the Clean Team.
This post coincides with the 2018 Stampin’ Up! Holiday Catalogue going live today. Many of the products I’ve used on my card can be purchased from this Catalogue.
I really love a sentiment die combined with a stamped sentiment. I can see the amazing sentiments I’ve used on my card will be worn out before Christmas as they are the perfect font and perfect size for my cards. The thinlits and stamp set are from a bundle called Merry Christmas To All Bundle – these were the first to go on my wish list. I’ve stamped with Cherry Cobbler Ink and used the matching Cherry Cobbler Cardstock.
The yummy Striped Burlap Trim I’ve layered under my sentiment is also from the new catalogue. To give a bit of definition to the background on my card I also used my new Corrugated Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.
Another must on my wish list was the Peaceful Noel Bundle. This consists of the Peaceful Noel Stamp Set and Sprig Punch. I’ve punched a few sprigs and also stamped a sprig from the stamp set and gave it a quick watercolour – it was only after I’d coloured my sprigs, did I realise this set is a two step stamp set and the set comes with a stamp to colour the centre…..oh well, they only took a few mins to colour.
Here’s my card:
