Inkspirations Sketch Challenge #75

Hey Everyone

If you have time this week there’s a fantastic sketch challenge over at Inkspirations Challenges. To play along, click here to take you to their challenge

I’ve used my favourite colours again – Basic Black, Crumb Cake, Cherry Cobbler and Very Vanilla. These are the colours I keep coming back to when I’m having a mental block and can’t think of a new colour combo.  As usual, I’ve daubed, torn and background stamped with the words from French Foliage with Crumb Cake – you can tell I love this effect coz I use it all the time.

Here’s my card:

Thanks for stopping by.

Pals Paper Arts Challenge #99

Hi Everyone

What a busy weekend I’ve had.  Two workshops in two days – now I need to start on the house!  (after I enter a few challenges first of course).

Stars are the elements of style this week at Pals Paper Arts.  I was tempted to load a picture of myself instead of Bette, but there’s no way I look as good as Bette does even at the age she is now!

I don’t use a lot stars, but as I dug around in my stamp sets I came up with a retired set I haven’t used for a while called Artifacts.  Stars also make me think of a male card – so here’s what I came up with.

Thanks for stopping by!

Products Used:
Cardstock: Basic Black, Crumb Cake, Newsprint, Very Vanila
Ink: Black Stazon, Crumb Cake
Stamp Sets: Artifacts (retired), French Foliage, Teeny Tiny Sentiments, Sense of Time
Other Products: Twine, Jumbo Brad, Word Window, Label Punch, Nestabilities (non-SU)

See ya

CASE Study Challenge 41 & PPA95

Hi Everyone

I’m entering two challenges at once again – CASE Study Challenge and Pals Paper Arts Challenge – Elements of Style – where we get to add brads of our choice.   As usual, I’ve added antique brads (just had order another two containers coz I’m using so many of them!) to the bow.

This months muse at CASE Study Challenge is the talented Sarah Martina Parker.  I love the colours she has used in her card and the gorgeous bow she’s tied.

This is my take on her card and also my entry for PPA95.

Thanks for taking a look.
