Merry Monday Challenge #48

Hey Everyone

It’s Monday, so that means a new challenge at Merry Monday! This week Lesley has given us the challenge of using the following non-traditional colours for our Christmas cards.  I LOVE non-traditional stuff, so I found this challenge right up my alley.

Just Add Ink #124

Hey Everyone

This week over at Just Add Ink, Mae has come up with the following colour scheme for us to use.

I have to admit this is a combination that I would never normally put together and it took me a while to even get started this week…..this is why challenges are good for me, they get me out of my comfort zone and make me try new things.

I’ve used a retired stamp set called Love and Care that I have only recently purchased from one of my fellow JAI design team members – thanks Bron! – it’s my new favourite flowery stamp set.

I hope you have time to check out what the very crafty design team have created this week at Just Add Ink and if you have time, we hope you can play along.

Thanks for stopping by.

Products Used:
Cardstock: Early Espresso, Marina Mist DSP, Very Vanilla
Ink: Early Espresso, Marina Mist Marker, Wild Wasabi Marker, Crumb Cake
Stamp Sets: Love & Care, Occasional Quotes (retired), French Foliage
Other Products: Early Espresso Satin Ribbon, Antique Brad, Circle Punch, Scallop Trim Punch

Cheers

The Paper Players Challenge #96

Hey Everyone

It’s my third week of guest designing at The Paper Players – can you believe how quickly this month is flying by?

Our challenge this week is to create a clean and simple project using polka dots.

I generally don’t make a lot of clean and simple cards, or use Marina Mist for that matter, but I decided to test myself and try and introduce a colour I’m not comfortable with.  Here’s what I came up with:

The girls have created some beautiful projects this week, so head over to The Paper Players and check them out.  Thanks for stopping by.

Cheers
