Freshly Made Sketches #50 & Dynamic Duos #18

Hey Everyone

I’m back with another card.  This time I’ve combined the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches and the colours from Dynamic Duos.

I’ve flipped this fabulous sketch on it’s side as it worked better for the layout of my card. This is a sketch I’ll definitely be re-visiting again! Thanks Lesley!

Poppy Parade is not a colour I use very often – I’m pretty sure the only time I’ve used it is when I’ve entered a challenge.  Initially when I saw it was teamed with Lucky Limeade I going was to make a Christmas card, but I thought that would be too predictable of me, so I’ve gone with a florally feminine card (even more predictable of me!)

Here’s my card:

Create with Connie & Mary #216 & Mojo Monday #256

Hey Everyone

My brother-in-law has recently had a birthday so I’ve created this card using a retired Stampin’ Up! set called Grunge Rock (it was the first time it had been inked up!).  I’ve used the challenge colours from Create with Connie & Mary  to create this card – initially I thought they might be too girlie but I found I really like them for a man card.

I’ve combined challenges as I needed a little inspiration for the layout for my card so I found this sketch from Mojo Monday.  I find creating a man card a bit tricky sometimes as I run out of embellishments to add. When I find a fabulous sketch like this, it gives me the “fullness” I need on a card – does that make sense?

Here’s my card:

Here’s my card which as you may’ve noticed is a more cleaner style than I normally do (I was giving clean and simple a go, well as clean and simple as I get!)

Thanks for stopping by.

The Paper Players Challenge #74

Hey Everyone

Just a quick one tonight as I managed to make one card for a challenge today – the rest of the time I was flitting about my house as my new kitchen was being installed!  I’m beside myself with excitement, but not overly thrilled about the amount of stuff I have to put back in – I really should’ve culled when I started packing things away.

My card tonight is for Lesley’s sketch challenge at The Paper Players.  This is what I came up with:
