Merry Monday #25

Hey Everyone

It’s Monday again – can you believe how quickly these weeks are flying by? Good thing I’ve made a start on my Christmas cards as Christmas will be here before I know it!

Because it’s Monday, it means it’s Merry Monday Challenge time again.  Here’s Lesley’s sketch:

I’ve gone with an easel card with traditional Christmas colours for my Merry Monday card this week.

Here’s a photo of the card when it’s closed up:

And finally a close up to show you the main panel.

Head over to Lesley’s blog and check out the gorgeous projects the Design Team have created this week.  Thanks for stopping by.

Merry Monday Challenge #23

Hey Everyone

This weeks Merry Monday Challenge threw me a bit this week.  I had no idea what I was going to use for the main panel – sometimes nothing seems to work.  Anyway after a 5 minute break I came back to it and tried again and came up with the following card.

Here’s this weeks Merry Monday sketch:

Here’s my card:

I hope you can play along with us this week.  The Merry Monday Makers have created some gorgeous projects – click here to take you to the challenge or click on the names below to take you to their blogs.

The Paper Players #97

Hey Everyone

Wow this month has gone very fast! This is my last week of Guest Designing at The Paper Players 😦 For my last week of playing along, LeAnne has designed the following sketch for us to use.  You probably all know by now that I love a sketch challenge because half the work is already done for me!

I decided I was overdue for a “man card” so I dragged out Lovely as a Tree for this one and kept it monochromatic. Here’s my card:

I want to say a huge thanks to Lesley & The Girls from The Paper Players for having me play along with them this month.  It’s been wonderful to “meet” you all and you’ll definitely continue to see me in your challenges – I just might be addicted to them! Head over to the challenge by clicking here and check out what the girls have created this week.

Thanks for taking a look.

Merry Monday Challenge #16

Hey Everyone

Here’s this weeks sketch from Lesley’s Merry Monday Challenge.

I’ve gone with Christmas Lodge this week.  I really like this set but it hasn’t made it to the Australian catalogue as yet (so I had to buy it off ebay!).  I added some trees from Lovely as a Tree around the lodge to make it appear as if it was in the woods.  I then stamped it a second time and cut around it and raised it up to add a little dimension.

Thanks for taking a look.

Merry Monday Challenge #11

Hey Everyone

I love this weeks sketch at Lesley’s Merry Monday Challenge!

This sketch is a great one that can be used for any occasion – I may have to remember it and use it again – thanks Lesley for coming up with a fantastic sketch again!

Thanks for taking a look.

As I was making this card I was remembering our Christmas Day here in Melbourne.  We don’t get the wintery scene I’ve created above – our Christmas Days are generally hot.  This year we had a wonderful Christmas lunch at our house, the kids were in the pool and us parents were kicking back with full bellies watching the fun. Then the storm hit and we ended up with this:

The hail stones were massive and really hurt!

The hail storm lasted for about 15 minutes and by the end of it, all of our cars were smashed.  It was a Christmas Day to remember!
