Freshly Made Sketches #234

Hey Everyone

It’s time for a new sketch at Freshly Made Sketches.  Our sketch hostess is the fabulously talented Jennifer Timko.  Jennifer creates stunning creations that just leave me in awe! Head over to her blog and check them out.  Here’s her great sketch that I found so easy to work with:

I’ve created a underwater scene using a couple of Stampin’ Up! sets – By the Tide and By the Seashore. Monochromatic seemed to work well for my masculine card.  Here’s my card:

Just Add Ink #301

Hey Everyone

It’s time for a new challenge at Just Add Ink. Nikki has suggested this fun challenge. Our challenge for you is to:

Just Add Numbers

I found I haven’t been using a lot of DSP on my cards lately.  I’ve been going for cleaner style of card and I’ve been forgoing the layers of DSP I once used.  The stash I have never seems to get smaller.  I chose this retired DSP from Go Wild Designer Series Stack and designed my card around it.  The number was cut using my Large Number Framelits and the “You” was from the Stampin’ Up! stamp set For You.  The word “Celebrate” is from a retired set called Express Yourself. I repeatedly stamped it using a ruler as a guide (trying to get it as straight as possible).

Here’s my card:

Freshly Made Sketches #213

Hey Everyone

I had no idea which stamp set I was going to use when I set out to create a card for my uber talented friend Amy O’Neill.  Amy’s talent has earned her the honour of becoming Stampin’ Up!s newest Artisan Design Team Member! Huge congrats Amy! Here’s her sketch for this weeks challenge at Freshly Made Sketches.

So I got my radio going and looked to my new stamp sets.  It then literally only took me about 2 minutes to decide colours and stamp sets and I was off.  Sometimes cards just come together with ease and other times I can sit and play with a card over two days. This card came together in no time – I think I banged it out in about 25 minutes and that included heat embossing my sentiment and bauble. It might’ve then taken a couple more minutes to stick it together.  Love it when it “just happens”!  All thanks to Amy’s great sketch.

Here’s my card:

Just Add Ink #268

Hey Everyone

It’s time for a new challenge at Just Add Ink. You’re probably going to look at this sketch and realise it’s a “me” sketch with all those layers.

JAI268sketch

Isn’t it always the way when you design a sketch and then realise you have absolutely no idea what to do with it? In the end I chose some really cool new Stampin’ Up! animal print papers called Go Wild DSP and paired it with a zebra image from a retired Stampin’ Up! set call Zoo Review.
