Freshly Made Sketches #318

Hey Everyone

We have a new challenge at Freshly Made Sketches for you.  This sketch challenge will be running for two weeks over the Christmas period as we know everyone will be busy with Santa coming and all that comes with the festive season.  This weeks sketch has been designed by the super talented and super funny Linda Callahan.

As I think I made enough Christmas cards (you never quite know until the last minute though…) I’ve gone with a floral birthday card – as you can never have too many of those! The Stampin’ Up! stamp set I’ve used on my card is called Climbing Orchid.  I coloured my images with a combination of Watercolor Pencils and inks.  To create the centre of my orchids I used Rich Razzleberry cardstock and added white highlights with my white gel pen.  The sentiment I’ve used is from For You.

As I don’t think I’ll be back before Christmas, I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas and fabulous New Year. I look forward to creating with the amazing design team from Freshly Made Sketches for the upcoming year.  Head over to Freshly Made Sketches and see what they’ve created for the final challenge of 2017.

Thanks for stopping by.

Cheers

Freshly Made Sketches #261

Hey Everyone

I’ve scheduled this post as I am attending Stampin’ Up!s 2016 Live On-Stage Event in Brisbane! Events like these are a great way to catch up with all the lovely friends I have made on-line.  It’s also a good opportunity to see and get my hands on products that will be released in upcoming catalogues.

Now on to my card! I created this card for our newest sketch at Freshly Made Sketches.  The super talented Cindy Hall is our sketch designer – here’s her cool sketch:

I’m loving Penned and Painted and have used it on another project that I will come back and show you tomorrow.  The colours I have used here are Basic Black, Mint Macaron and Calypso Coral. Here’s my card:

Just Add Ink #331

Hey Everyone

Don’t you hate it when you’re on annual leave and you forget what day it is and you schedule your post for the wrong day?  That’s me.  Here’s my post for this weeks Just Add Ink Challenge.

This week we have a fun challenge for you over at Just Add Ink.  This week our challenge is for you to

Just Add Wings

I LOVE this challenge.  I can’t wait to see what all you very creative people come up with.  I went pretty simple with wings because I don’t have a very big imagination and went with what first jumped into my mind.  Stampin’ Up!s Watercolor Wings is a fabulous set and is really easy to line up the layers on the first go.  I played around with colours to use for the wings and ended up with (in order of stamping) Soft Sky, Pool Party and Basic Black.  The rest of my card came together around those colours.  After my last messy effort of creating black linen thread, I learnt my lesson and this time I wore gloves.

Come and join us with this great challenge. Head over to Just Add Ink and take a look at the projects the girls have created for you.
