Mojo Monday #320, IBSIC #69 & IBSIC Crochet Trim/Ribbon Challenge

Hey Everyone

Not much stamping done this weekend at my house.  I finally started my Christmas shopping, got a bit of house cleaning done and best of all I had a cuddle with my new great-niece.  Luckily I have Monday off work so I can catch up on my stamping 🙂  The challenges I did get a chance to enter are – Mojo Monday, Inspired by Stamping Inspiration Challenge and also their Crochet Trim and Ribbon Challenge.  Because I’ve used Inspired by Stamping stamps – I’m entering my card into their November Customer Gallery Challenge too!

When I saw Inspired by Stamping’s challenge colours I was initially going to make a Christmas card, but then it somehow turned into a florally feminine card instead.  The stamp set I’ve used is called Elegant Flowers – don’t you love the classiness of these roses?  The birthday sentiment I went for is from a set call Mason Jar Add-On II and then I added a strip of Victorian Crochet Trim with a seam binding scrunchy bow.

Inspired by Stamping Challenge #67 & Mojo Monday #319

Hey Everyone

Woohoo it’s Saturday!   After a quick whip around of the house I sat down to check out some challenges.  The card I’m sharing today is for two challenges – Inspired by Stamping Inspiration Challenge and this weeks Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge.

I’ve gone a little bit shabby with this card, because that’s the first thing that came to mind when I saw the challenge colours.  I still pause when I have to use blue and green as I have the old saying going on in my head “blue and green should never been seen without a colour in between”.  So to put my mind at rest, I’ve used Sahara Sand as my in between colour.  I absolutely LOVE Julee’s sketch at Mojo as it works so well with my layers.  I’m entering my card also into Inspired by Staming’s customer gallery as I have used Elegant Flowers and Fancy Sentiments.  Here’s my card:

Cardabilities #84 & Inspired by Stamping 2nd Birthday Challenge & Seize The Birthday Challenge

Hey Everyone

Cardabilities has a fabulous sketch that I couldn’t wait to play along with this weekend.

How it is that you can lose a stamp set for 6 months and then it all of a sudden appears under the couch in my living room?  It happened to one of my Inspired by Stamping stamp sets called Elegant Flowers.  I just may be losing my mind as I don’t remember taking it from my craft room!  I’m entering my card into Inspired by Stamping’s 2nd Birthday Colour Challenge, their Birthday Theme Challenge and their Customer Gallery Challenge.

I’m also entering my card into Seize the Birthday’s Anything Goes Challenge.  Here’s their inspiration pic:

Inspired by Stamping #44 & Mojo Monday #278

Hey Everyone

The card I’m sharing today is for the inspiration challenge at Inspired by Stamping and the sketch challenge at Mojo Monday.

The thing I love about challenges is that they encourage you to try different colour combinations and layouts than what you would normally try.  I would probably never’ve put red and pink together – but I found I’ve been using them a bit lately. I’m no longer just a neutrals girl!  I’m using Stampin’ Up! Fan Fair DSP again, but it really fits with the challenge colours from Inspired by Stamping.

By now you’d probably see that I love feminine florally cards.  The rose stamp I’ve used is from an Inspired by Stamping set called Elegant Flowers.  I’m not sure if you can pick it up in the photo but I’ve cut out two images per rose and layered one on top of the other to give it a paper tole-ish effect. It really adds dimension to this pretty rose. The leaves I’ve used are from Stampin’ Up! French Foliage. I’m still in my seam binding phase, so this time I’ve dyed my Very Vanilla seam binding with Rose Red Ink.
