The Deconstructed Sketch #141 & Colour Me Create Challenge #10

Hey Everyone

The card I’m sharing today is combined for two challenges – The Deconstructed Sketch and Colour Me Creative Challenge.

I love a monochromatic card, but today I really struggled.  Old Olive is not a colour that I use much anymore so finding Old Olive designer series paper that worked for the sketch had me stumped.  In the end I’ve added Crumb Cake cardstock as a sort of buffer for the green.  The designer series papers I used is a retired Stampin’ Up! one called Cottage Walls DSP and the stamp set I’ve used is a Stampin’ Up! one called Blessed Easter.

Merry Monday Challenge #68

Hey Everyone

It’s Monday, so that means another fabulous sketch for you to create a Christmas card at Merry Monday.

MMC68sketch

I had these retired Stampin’ Up! papers – Cottage Wall DSP & Nursery Nest DSP – on my desk so it was easy for me to throw them together on my card. Here’s my card:

Inspired by Stamping Inspiration Challenge #57 & Deconstructed Sketch #105

Hey Everyone

The card I’m sharing today is probably about a week late.  I started this card before I got my migraine and didn’t finish it until today.  Luckily for me the challenge at Inspired by Stamping is a two week challenge.  Here’s their inspiration pic:

IBSIC57pic

Also Jen at The Deconstructed Sketch leaves her challenge open for ages so I can still link it up.  Although I’ve just now realised I’ve left off the 3 embellishments on the bottom of the card – oops!

DS105sketch

I going through a Primrose Petals phase and found I love it teamed with Pear Pizzazz.  I’ve used my blender pen to lightly colour the flowers from Secret Garden – it also gives them more definition. Here’s my card:

Freshly Made Sketches #82

Hey Everyone

We returned from our holiday on the weekend and everything is slowly returning to normal.  I’m hanging out for the weekend so I can return to my craft room.  I really need to get in there and properly unpack all the stuff I took away with me.

This weeks Freshly Made Sketches sketch is brought to us by the very talented Jen B – head over to her blog and check our her gorgeous creations.

I’ve used some retired Stampin’ Up! DSP for my card called Cottage Wall DSP.  I love this particular designer series paper combined with Rich Razzleberry and Pear Pizzazz. Here’s my card:

Just Add Ink #159

Hey Everyone

This weeks Just Add Ink Challenge was suggested by the talented Kim.  Our challenge for you is to:

Just Add…….A Bunny

Now, you can create any project as long as you add a bunny.  I don’t actually give out Easter Cards so I created a baby card for this challenge.

We are given our challenges in advance so I knew this challenge was coming up – do you think I thought about ordering a stamp set with a bunny in it so it would get here in time?  No, I forgot until last week so I’ve been stalking the postman.  A box arrived and before I could open it, my husband told me it wasn’t mine.  It belonged to someone else in our small court of 24 houses.  Imagine my surprise, when I went to deliver her box, that I found there’s another Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator living in the same court!  Stampin’ Up! demos are so supportive of each other – she offered to lend me her Everyday Bunny stamp set without even knowing me! I thanked her but said mine would probably arrive the next day. It didn’t 😦  Instead of bugging her, I asked my sister-in-law Jules if I could borrow a retired Stampin’ Up! stamp set I knew she had called A New Little Someone. I just love this bunny in this set.

Here’s what I came up with:

Just Add Ink #157

Hey Everyone

We have a fun challenge for you at Just Add Ink – this weeks theme is to:

Just Add……Green

This challenge is to inspire you to create a project using mostly Green.  You can either make a card for St Patrick’s Day, or as some of the Design Team have created, a card featuring Green.

I haven’t made a St Patrick’s Day card as I really don’t have anyone to give it to, so I’ve gone for a card that used a retired Stampin’ Up! stamp set called Growing “Green”.  I thought it was perfect for a “Green” challenge.  I stamped the fern fronds in Gumball Green and used my blender pen to add a bit of shading to the leaves.  I then stamped the butterfly from Papillion Potpourri in Gumball Green.  This challenge has given me the chance to show of some of the pretty DSPs from Print Poetry DSP Stack.  The DSP I used in the background was a piece that I had sitting on my desk from another project.  It’s from a retired Stampin’ Up! pack called Cottage Wall DSP.

Here’s my very overloaded Green card:

Stampin’ Royalty #165 & Inspired by Stamping #48

Hey Everyone

The Design Team over at Stampin’ Royalty have given us a sketch this week to create our cards. I’ve taken a bit of liberty with their sketch and flipped it on it’s side.  I also moved the placement of my ribbon a tad – it just worked better on my card. Take a look at their fab sketch:

SR165sketch

I’ve combined the sketch challenge with the colour challenge at Inspired by Stamping.  When I first started layering the Pear Pizzazz and Blushing Bride cardstock, all I could think of creating was a baby card. As I don’t need a baby card at the moment, I was determined to make these colours work for a feminine card. I was really pleased with how my card turned out and next time I might not automatically think of a baby card when I see these colours together.

IBSIC48pic

I’ve used a “congratulations” sentiment for my card as I think it looks like a wedding card.  But really it could work as a Birthday, Engagement or even a Mother’s Day card. The sentiment can be easily interchanged at the last minute. Here’s my card:

Freshly Made Sketches #64

Hey Everyone

Don’t you love a sketch challenge? Cindy has given us this fabulous sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches this week:

FMS64sketch

I’ve gone old-school with my designer series paper today.  One of my favourite DSP packs when I first joined Stampin’ Up! was Cottage Wall.  I think I brought 3 packs which was a pretty big deal for me as I wasn’t doing any workshops back then.  I must’ve been generating all my cards for my family and friends with the same look! Here’s what I came up with for Cindy’s sketch:

Just Add Ink #126

Hey Everyone

I’m back with my card for this weeks Just Add Ink challenge!  Mae has designed this fabulous sketch and as you can see from my fellow Design Team Members cards – by using this layout you can achieve so many different looks.

My mission, at the moment, is to try and use up some of the DSPs that I’ve been hoarding.  I’ve been holding onto a lot of them as I didn’t want to use them up and not have them at hand anymore.

Check out the gorgeous cards the Design Team have created this week by heading over to the Just Add Ink challenge blog – I hope you can join us this week!

Thanks for stopping by.
