Merry Monday Challenge #67

Hey Everyone

Lesley keeps coming up with the most amazing sketches for us to create our cards. Take a look at this fabulous sketch for this weeks Merry Monday Challenge:

MMC67sketch

I’ve gone with a monochromatic card using one of my favourite Christmas Stampin’ Up! stamp sets – Dasher.  He’s one retired stamp set that I don’t think I’ll be parting with in the near future.  The designer series paper I’ve used is from a retired Stampin’ Up! pack called Candlelight Christmas Specialty DSP.

The Paper Players Challenge #122

Hey Everyone

Just a quick one tonight – I’ve made a card for LeAnne’s clean and simple challenge over the The Paper Players.  The challenge is to feature Silver or Gold on our projects.

I do have to tell  you my card had way more layers and ribbon, but I reduced the amount of clutter on my card before I stuck it together. This is my attempt and clean and simple.

Thanks for stopping by.

Merry Monday Challenge – Something Different Week 3 & Dynamic Duos #11

Hey Everyone

Just a quick one tonight as I’m running a bit late with this post.  My card is for Lesley’s Merry Monday Challenge where I am using the same sketch for the month of July and will end up creating 4 different cards to add to my stash.  Here’s the sketch I choose from Week 6:

I have used the colours from this weeks Dynamic Duos Challenge where the challenge colours are Pink Pirouette and Baja Breeze – very pretty combo!

Here’s my Christmas card using non-traditional colours:

We’d love to see you play along with us this month, so head over to Lesley’s blog and join in!

Thanks for stopping by.

Merry Monday Challenge #18

Hey Everyone

I’m loving Lesley’s weekly Christmas card challenge because I generally get to November and then am hurriedly trying to work out my Christmas cards at the last minute.  I’m not sure if that happens to everyone, but when I haven’t made a Christmas card in a while, it throws me and it take me ages to get into the swing of things.  By creating a card every week I don’t lose my “swing” and I find it easier to create. Does that make sense?

Anyway, enough rambling by me. Here’s my entry for this weeks Merry Monday Challenge.

Thanks for stopping by.

Products Used:
Cardstock: Night of Navy, Whisper White, Island Indigo DSP
Ink: Night of Navy
Stamp Sets: Welcome Christmas, Contempo Christmas

Merry Monday Challenge #17

Hey Everyone

I’m late posting tonight as I’ve had a busy weekend.  This card I’ve made is for Lesley’s Merry Monday Challenge – the idea behind this challenge is to create a card a week so by Christmas time I’ll have a big stash.  So far I’m 17 out of 17 – patting myself on the back right now for keeping up!

Here’s my card:

Merry Monday Challenge #16

Hey Everyone

Here’s this weeks sketch from Lesley’s Merry Monday Challenge.

I’ve gone with Christmas Lodge this week.  I really like this set but it hasn’t made it to the Australian catalogue as yet (so I had to buy it off ebay!).  I added some trees from Lovely as a Tree around the lodge to make it appear as if it was in the woods.  I then stamped it a second time and cut around it and raised it up to add a little dimension.

Thanks for taking a look.

Merry Monday Challenges #7

Hey Everyone

So I’m 7 for 7 at Lesley’s Merry Monday Challenges and I almost stumbled at the block for this one.  Would you believe that this card changed colours and styles 3 times before I was happy? – I was really having an off day yesterday and I should’ve walked away (maybe even cleaned my house) and then returned later to finish it off.  Anyway, here’s what I came up with:

Merry Monday Challenge #5 & The Play Date Cafe Challenge #116

Hey Everyone

I sat down last night to enter Lesley’s Merry Monday Challenge and thought to myself that this may end up being a real challenge by the end of the year to find different uses for my limited Stampin’ Up! Christmas sets.  I combined Lesley’s sketch with the colour challenge at The Play Date Cafe and have ended up with a non-traditional Christmas coloured card.

Here’s my card:

After my earlier post I whipped back out to my room to try and enter another challenge before the family decided to get up – school holidays are finishing soon and I don’t know how they’ll get up in time for school at the end of next week.  I’m doing so well with entering Lesley’s Merry Monday Challenge – 4 out of 4 so far!

Here’s Lesley’s sketch.
