Freshly Made Sketches #441

Hey Everyone

We have a new challenge for you over at Freshly Made Sketches. Our latest sketch has been designed the super talented Judy Rozema.

The Celebrate Sunflowers Stamp Set came to mind when I saw this sketch.  Firstly, I stamped the sunflowers in Black Memento Ink and coloured one with my Purple Posy Blends and the second flower with my Highland Heather Blends. I added some leaves die cuts from the Sunflowers Dies and added a sentiment from the Celebrate Sunflowers Stamp Set. I added a torn strip of Highland Heather Cardstock and a strip of Braided Linen Trim that I had sitting on my desk. The designer series paper I’ve added to the side of my card is from the 2020-2022 In Colour Designer Series Paper pack. Three little Just Jade Enamel Dots finished off my card.

Here’s what I created:

The team have created awesome cards using Judy’s sketch. Make sure you head over to Freshly Made Sketches and see what they’ve created.

Artisan Design Team Blog Hop – Flowers for Every Season Suite

Hey Everyone

I am so excited to share the cards I’ve made for the latest Stampin’ Up! Artisan Design Team blog hop.  You may’ve guessed that I LOVE anything floral, so when I saw that the suite we are featuring products from is the Flowers For Every Season Suite, I was beside myself!

All of my cards feature beautiful floral backgrounds. These floral backgrounds are from the Flowers For Every Season Memories and More Card Pack. I’ve cut them and created floating panels for each of them to showcase them with different layouts.

The first card I created features items from the Celebrate Sunflowers Bundle.  In this bundle you get the Celebrate Sunflowers Stamp Set and the Sunflowers Dies. The sunflowers in the stamp set are gorgeous and perfect for colouring.  I gave my petals colour with a combination of So Saffron, Daffodil Delight, Crumb Cake and Smoky Slate Blends. The Smoky Slate Blends were added to the centre of the petals to add shadows and create depth to the images. Instead of adding green leaves to my card, I added Whisper White Cardstock leaves created with the Sunflowers Dies. The sentiment is from the Celebrate Sunflowers Stamp Set and it created the third panel on my card. The last embellishment I added to my card was a bow of Misty Moonlight/Silver Bakers Twine from the Flowers for Every Season Ribbon Combo Pack.

As well as a background from the Flowers for Every Season Memories and More Card Pack, my second card features products from the Jar Of Flowers Bundle.  I added three strips of the M&MCP that have been raised with Dimensionals.  In the Jar Of Flowers Bundle you receive the Jar Punch that coordinates with the Jar Of Flowers Stamp Set.  The stamp set has a jar image as well as four posies of different flower types. The posy I’ve used on my card has been coloured with a combination of the following blends: Real Red, Petal Pink, Flirty Flamingo & Smoky Slate Blends. I added a strip of hand cut Basic Gray Cardstock that I thinly trimmed with my scissors.  I roughed it up with my fingers and hope it resembles the stick type things that you get sometimes get in flowers…..

The jar image has been lightly coloured with the Light Petal Pink Blend.  I took some more Misty Moonlight/Silver Bakers Twine from the Flowers For Every Season Ribbon Combo Pack and looped it around the jar twice and tied a knot. The sentiment is from the Celebrate Flowers Stamp Set and again, I have created floating panels by raising it with Dimensionals and adding it to the side of my card.

For my third and final card, I’ve used a combination of products from both bundles. For a different floating panels layout, I cut four rectangles of card from the Flowers For Every Season Memories & More Card Pack.  I added a strip of Whisper White Cardstock across the centre of the card – initially for a sentiment, but I couldn’t make a sentiment fit. So instead, I stamped a sentiment and quickly trimmed around the sentiment and layered it over the image.

The jar image has been stamped and coloured lightly with my Light Seaside Spray Blend.  I then took the Jar Punch and punched out the jar. The lid of the jar is stamped with Black Memento Ink and fussy cut out.  I cut a strip of Whisper White Faux Linen Ribbon and the Misty Moonlight/Silver Baker’s Twine and tied them around the jar. When you google “decorated mason jars”, I see a lot of them have flowers added to the side of the jar, so I added a sunflower image coloured with Flirty Flamingo and Real Red Blends. The straw-like images have been stamped with Real Red Ink and fussy cut out – I couldn’t resist adding them for some height and for some interest. Whisper White Cardstock leafy die cuts were adhered to the mix as I had them sitting on my desk left over from my first card.

I hope you’ve enjoyed the projects I’ve created. I know you’re going to love what the Artisan Team have made using these fabulous products from the Flowers For Every Season Suite.  The next hop along the way is my creative friend Nina Waldschmidt.  Click here to take you to her blog or click on the button below. Freshly Made Sketches #437

Hey Everyone

There’s a new sketch at Freshly Made Sketches for you to try. Our sketch hostess this week is Cecile Ribon, our fabulous sketch designer and creator of wonderful elegant cards.

The card I’ve created for this challenge features an image from a stamp set that will be available from the Stampin’ Up! 2020-2021 Annual Catalogue.  As a demonstrator we are able to pre-order some products from the catalogue a little earlier than the catalogue release on 3rd June. Love a perk like this! This stamp set I’ve used is called Celebrate Sunflowers. My sunflowers have been coloured with So Saffron and Mango Melody Blends. The die cuts I’ve added to my cards are cut with the matching dies called Sunflowers Dies.  The designer series paper strips I’ve used in the background are from the Flowers for Every Season Designer Series Paper.

The team at Freshly Made Sketches have created fabulous cards. Head over to the challenge and see what they’ve created.
