Inkspirations Colour Challenge #78 & Mojo Monday #199

Hey Everyone

I’m entering two challenges with this post –Inkspirations Colour Challenge and Mojo Monday Challenge.  When I first looked at these colours I thought “easy peasy”.  After sitting looking at them for a while I decided they weren’t so “easy peasy”.  That’s why I decided to combine these colours with the sketch challenge at Mojo.

I’ve used the words from Strength & Hope to background stamp on the circle as well as the flourish and butterfly to dress it up.  For the smaller circle I stamped the round scroll/flourish stamp from Artistic Etchings in perfect plum and raised it up with dimensionals.  To finish the card, I’ve tied a bow “Teneale style” with Very Vanilla satin ribbon.

Not sure if it’s one of my favourites but this is what I ended up with.

Thanks for stopping by.

JAI #72 – Just Add Colouring In

Hi Everyone

It’s my 3rd post the for day, I’m soooo on a roll again!  The challenge at Just Add Ink – “Just Add Colouring In” was just that for me – a challenge – as I found out that I’m really bad at colouring in.  My card started with a boat, marina mist cardstock and a scallop circle – this is how it ended!

I’ve used Pretty in Pink and Crumb Cake markers to colour in the flower from one of my favourite stamp sets Elements of Style.  I inked up the butterfly and then shimmered it with champagne shimmer mist, used basic pearls for some bling on it’s spine and then mounted it with dimensionals.

Thanks for stopping by.

Ink: Crumb Cake Ink & Marker, Pretty in Pink Marker, Black Stazon

Case Study Challenge 38

Hi Everyone

It’s my second post tonight as I’ve just sat down from a big Mother’s Day.  My son played footy and we didn’t get home until 7.45pm – it’s been a long day.

This month at Case Study Challenge our muse is the talented Sarah Martina Parker.  This is her card below.

And this is my take on her card.  I sat down and whipped up a Mother’s Day card for my mum and couldn’t put it on until now, as she checks my blog regularly, and I didn’t want to ruin her surprise.

Thanks for taking a look!

CASE Study Challenge 37

Hi All

This is the final week that we get to CASE Silke Ledlow’s card for the CASE Study Challenge.  One of the girls I’ve met through this addictive craft messaged me the other day to say she is starting to pick my cards out now because of my style.  It got me thinking, as I never thought I had a style, but I guess I feel exactly the same way about Silke’s beautiful style. I don’t know what it is, but you do get to recognise people’s cards before you see their name.

Anyway here’s Silke’s pretty card we used for inspiration.

Here’s my take on her card.

Thanks for stopping by.

JAI 65 Just Add Mateship/Friendship for ANZAC Day

Hi Everyone

This is my third post today – I’m on a roll!  This weeks challenge at Just Add Ink is Just Add Mateship/Friendship for ANZAC Day.  What a wonderful idea for a challenge!  I’ve used the Strength & Hope stamp set because when I was searching for a stamp set to use, the words from this set sang out to me. They seemed so relevant for our fallen soldiers who fought for our countries.

Thanks for stopping by!
