Good Evening Everyone
The challenge at Just Add Ink this week is to create a project using the following photo as inspiration. I noticed alot of the design team used a brayer on their cards – I ordered a brayer two weeks ago and it’s still sitting nicely in it’s box until I get the courage to bring it out and learn how to use it!
My card uses the following colours – Basic Black, Basic Gray, More Mustard, Cajun Craze & Very Vanilla – colours which I think kinda match the inspiration photo.
Thanks for stopping by.
Cardstock: Basic Black, Very Vanilla, More Mustard DSP, Cajun Craze DSP, Basic Gray
Ink: Cherry Cobbler, Basic Black
Stamp Set: Field Flowers
Other Products: Basic Gray Taffeta Ribbon, Button, Hemp Twine
One of the good things about being on holidays is that I get a chance to enter my craft room and give it a good clean out. I even managed to label a few things. As I was cleaning up I came across this retired Cottage Wall DSP that I used a few weeks ago for a challenge. I might have been saving it for a rainy day, but I figure if I don’t use it now -when will I use it? I’ve used it today for the sketch challenge at The Paper Players. This is their sketch that I’ve based my card on.
Would you believe that when I heard Pale Plum was retiring last year I brought 3 packets of cardstock, but not the ink? Not sure what I was thinking. So to give two of the flowers the appearance of Pale Plum I stamped Orchid Opulence onto a scrap piece, to use up alot of the ink, and then stamped onto this card without re-inking – it really dulled down the colour. I then stamped over the top of them with Rich Razzleberry.
This card was chosen as A Cut Above at The Paper Players Challenge this week.
Thanks for taking a look.

Hey Again Everyone
CASE Study Challenge’s muse this month is Julie Lacey and this is her fabulous card below.
I absolutely love the colours she’s used for her card as they are some of my favourites. I kept my colours and layout pretty much the same and am pretty happy with how it turned out.
Thanks for stopping by.
