Freshly Made Sketches #319

Hey Everyone

Freshly Made Sketches is back for 2018!  I hope you’re ready for our creative weekly sketches and hope to see you all play along with our challenges this year! Our first sketch for the year has been designed by the uber talented Rita Wright.  Take a look at her great sketch (I’ve just realised my alignment on my card is a tad off from the sketch, but I hope you’ll forgive me as I’m still in holiday mode…..)

As you can see I centred my layers but if you look at my card from an angle, it might look like the sketch…..  I am in LOVE with these flowers from Stampin’ Up!s Petal Palette.  I gave my flowers a light watercolour with Brushing Bride Ink.  I then stamped the leaves from Remarkable You and watercoloured them with Old Olive Ink.  The sentiment I’ve used is from From You.  I heat embossed this with white embossing powder on Smoky Slate cardstock.

Here’s my card:

As always the Clean Team have created gorgeous cards to inspire you, so head over to Freshly Made Sketches and take a look at their cards.

Thanks for stopping by.

Cheers

Colour Q Challenge #105 & Create with Connie & Mary #170

Hey Everyone

I’m combing two challenges with my next card – the colour combo at Colour Q Challenge and the sketch challenge at Create with Connie & Mary.

What do you do when your order didn’t arrive when you expected it to, and you don’t have your new DSP you thought was coming?  Make your own DSP with a background stamp. The flourish from my new favourite set of the moment – Established Elegance – came in really handy and finished off my card for me.

This card was awarded a Top Pick at Create with Connie & Mary.

Thanks for stopping by.
