Cardabilities #107

Hey Everyone

The card I’m sharing today is for this weeks Cardabilities sketch.  I really thought the hexagons were interesting and couldn’t wait to play along.

I had fun with this card because I did lots of distressing and dirtying up of the edges. I don’t seem to make many cards in this style anymore.  Here’s my card:

Stampin’ Royalty #244 & Create with Connie & Mary Challenge #319

Hey Everyone

I love both of the challenges at Stampin’ Royalty and Create with Connie & Mary this week so I combined them for my card.  The challenge at Stampin’ Royalty is to create a Black and White card with a pop of colour.  Here’s the fabulous sketch from Create with Connie & Mary.

I had a bit of a play with my blendabilities today.  Not sure if I’m much of a colourer but I’m persisting with them for the time being.  The Stampin’ Up! stamp set I’ve used is Bloom with Hope – it’s a great one for colouring.  The DSP I’ve used in the background is from Back to Black and I’ve used a smidge of Basic Black DSP.

Just Add Ink #225

Hey Everyone

I really LOVE this weeks colour combination at Just Add Ink.  For some reason a grungy shabby card came to mind when I saw these colours.

The flowers I’ve used are from a hostess stamp set from the new Stampin’ Up! Annual called Bloom with Hope.  I can tell this is going to be one of my favourite stamp sets from the catalogue. The grid DSP in the background is from Moonlight Designer Series Stack – I’m really loving all the papers/colours in this stack.  My flowers are coloured with So Saffron ink and a blender pen and my leaves are lightly coloured the same way with Smokey Slate ink.

We would love you to play along with us this week – so head over to the challenge and link up a card.  While you’re there check out the gorgeous inspiration from the Design Team.

Thanks for stopping by.
