Freshly Made Sketches #403

Hey Everyone

Love a sketch challenge? I do and especially when it’s designed by me! Actually that’s not tue, I always stress when it’s my turn. I overthink it and make it harder than what it needs to be.  The sketch I’ve designed is for the latest challenge at Freshly Made Sketches.

Here’s my sketch:

I’m continuing to add to my Christmas card stash and have created the following card for an upcoming card class.

I’ve created my card using the Peaceful Boughs Stamp Set and Beautiful Boughs Dies.  I love me some layers, so I’ve layered my card with some DSP from Toile Tidings Designer Series Paper, a strip of Real Red Ribbon and a strip of Soft Suede Cardstock. Those leftover strips come in handy for my layering.

The pine cones have been stamped in Soft Suede Ink and Golden Glitz Delicata Metallic Ink.  My sentiment has also been stamped with this Metallic Ink.  The Garden Green Cardstock leaves have been cut with my dies and the background has been stamped with ink splatters in Soft Suede Ink.

The team at Freshly Made Sketches have created cards that make my sketch look awesome! Head over to the challenge and see what they’ve created.

Thanks for stopping by.

Cheers

CAS(E) this Sketch #338

Hey Everyone

The team at CAS(E) this Sketch have created a fabulous sketch.  I couldn’t resist playing along with it and knew that this sketch would be the perfect layout for an upcoming Christmas class card.

I’ve been itching to use my new Pigment Sprinkles.  I took the Granny Apple Green jar and sprinkled the tiniest bit out on to a clear block. After spritzing the sprinkles with a small amount of water, I used my Aqua Painter to mix the colour.  I then applied the Aqua Painter to my cardstock and created the watercolour wash background.

Peaceful Boughs Stamp Set and matching Beautiful Boughs Dies were sitting on my desk as I had used them for a couple of upcoming cards.  I inked up the large pine cone image with my new Golden Glitz Delicata Metallic Ink. I think I may very well be in love with these inks.  They’re a dream to stamp with and perfect for all my festive cards – the sparkle in them is so pretty.  The smaller pine cone was inked up with Soft Suede Ink.

The sentiment from Peaceful Boughs Stamp Set has also been inked up with my Golden Glitz Delicata Metallic Ink.  For more detail, (one can’t have enough details) I added some Linen Thread under the sentiment and added three Holiday Rhinestone Basic Jewels.

Here’s my card:

Thank you CAS(E) this Sketch Design Team for inspiration for my Christmas card.

Thanks for stopping by.

Cheers
