Merry Monday Challenge #62

Hey Everyone

Lesley has given us this fabulous sketch to create our Christmas cards this week at Merry Monday.

MMC62sketch

I’ve gone really green with my card today – Gumball Green. The stamps sets I’ve used are from Bright Hopes and More Merry Messages.  The Gumball Green designer series paper is from a pack called Be of Good Cheer.

Merry Monday Challenge #59

Hey Everyone

I’m back with my regular Monday Christmas card for Lesley’s Merry Monday Challenge.  Here’s Lesley’s wonderful sketch:

MMC59sketch

I’ve flipped my card on it side to fit my sentiment and then I added some leaves from Stampin’ Up!s Little Leaves Die and punched some flowers from Boho Blossoms Punch to finish it off.  I received the sentiment at last years Stampin’ Up! Heartfelt Event – this was the first time my Heart of Christmas stamp has seen ink!  The designer series paper I’ve used is from a pack called Be of Good Cheer. Here’s what I came up:

Merry Monday Challenge #43

Hey Everyone

Where has the year gone? It feels like the year rocketed by, don’t you think?  One good thing is that I’m actually organised with Christmas cards (for once!) – thanks to my weekly Merry Monday Challenge.  This is our last Merry Monday sketch for 2012, but don’t worry, we’ll be back in 2013.  Here’s Lesley’s sketch this week:

And here’s my card:

Lesley, the Merry Makers and I will be back to start a new stash of Christmas cards on the 7th January – but for now head over to Lesley’s blog and check out the gorgeous cards the Design Team have created this week.

Merry Monday Challenge #41

Hey Everyone

There’s a new sketch over at Merry Monday today.  I’d have to say this one was a bit tricky for me, so in the end to make my card work, I flipped the sketch on it’s side.

I may’ve purchased too many packs of Stampin’ Up! Christmas DSP as it’s coming close to Christmas and I’ve still got heaps of DSP left.  Next year I’m going to reduce the amount I buy.  I tend to buy one or two of every Christmas pack without thinking if I’m going to use it all! For this card I’ve used some of my Be of Good Cheer DSP and teamed it with Early Espresso for something different.

We’d love for you to join us over at Merry Monday.  Head over to the challenge and check out the gorgeous inspiration the Design Team have come up with.

Merry Monday #34

Hey Everyone

Lesley has provided us with this fabulous sketch at Merry Monday this week:

I’ve used some of my new DSP – Be of Good Cheer. This DSP showcases this gorgeous new In-Colour called Gumball Green – I may have overloaded my card with Gumball Green :). I did try and balance out the Gumball Green by using some retired Very Vanilla satin ribbon.

I hope you can join us this week at Merry Monday – click here to take you to Lesley’s blog and check out the gorgeous cards the design team have created.

Merry Monday Challenge #32

Hey Everyone

It’s Monday so that means it’s time for Merry Monday again.  Here’s Lesley’s sketch this week:

Can you believe it? – I’ve gone with more punch art.  I’m not sure what’s come over me, but I’m on a roll with punch art on my Christmas cards. This time I’ve gone with a pine cone.  I saw a pine cone card on Pinterest and loved the idea.  I’ve used my build a blossom punch and curled each of the cones with my bone folder to make them more 3D. I then used my dauber to ink Early Espresso around each cone to give them more definition.  And finally I cut some Always Artichoke cardstock thinly to make my pine cone needles.

Head over to Lesley’s blog and check out the gorgeous Christmas cards the design team have created this week.  If you have time, we’d love to see you join in!

Mojo Monday #254 & Create with Connie & Mary #214

Hey Everyone

Hope everyone’s had a wonderful weekend??? – I can’t believe it’s over already and I’m back at work tomorrow.

My card tonight is for two challenges – Mojo Monday and Create with Connie & Mary.

This is the sketch from Mojo Monday that I used to create my card:

And here’s the colour palette from Create with Connie & Mary:

It was a good thing I got a few pre-order items from the upcoming catalogue during the week- I was able to use the correct colours for this challenge.  One of the DSP packs I opened was Be of Good Cheer which happened to have the Gumball Green spotted paper in it and the Midnight Muse DSP was from Comfort Cafe DSP that I opened yesterday. I’m not generally a “blue” person, but I think that Comfort Cafe will be my new favourite! I’ve gone with two retired Stampin’ Up! sets for this child’s card.  The teddy is from a baby set called Bundle of Joy and the presents my teddy’s holding and the sentiment are from Favourite Teddy.

Thanks for stopping by.
