Stampin’ Royalty #197 & Retro Sketches #85

Hey Everyone

The Design Team at Stampin’ Royalty have a colour challenge this week.  I thought it would work well for a man card – I figured it was about time I made another one.

As I said in my previous post, I love a good sketch and the sketch over at Retro Sketches is perfect for my man card.  This sketch will be a keeper!

I needed the retired Stampin’ Up! stamp set called Classic Convertibles as soon as it saw it.  A few men in family love classic cars so I was determined to mix up the cards in my stash so that every man card I made wasn’t always a boat card.  Here’s my card:

Retro Sketches #80 & Stampin’ Royalty #192

Hey Everyone

I’ve had a busy weekend with my niece’s baby shower yesterday and an Under 18s Football Grand Final this morning – our club lost 😦 – so I haven’t had much of a chance to play in my craft room.  I did however get a chance to make one card for this weeks Retro Sketch Challenge and the theme challenge at Stampin’ Royalty where the challenge is to make a project using patterned paper.

I know I’ve said this before, but I find man cards not as easy to make as female cards because I can’t tizz them up with bows, bling and flowers.   I thought the sketch at Retro Sketches would be perfect for a man card with all it’s banners and layers.  I’ve used some washi tape for the first time on my card and as I found my stapler, I was able to staple the ribbon around the grommet just for a different look.  Here’s my card:

Create with Connie & Mary #212 & Just Add Ink #129

Hey Everyone

Over at Create with Connie & Mary this week they have this stunning colour combination for us to make our cards.  I’ve probably never combined these colours before, but I know I will be using them again!

The design of my card is for this fabulous sketch by Mae at Just Add Ink.  It’s my week off my DT duties at JAI this week but I really loved this sketch, so I thought I’d enter a card just for fun.

Hope you like it!

Dynamic Duos #7 & Mojo Monday #245

Hey Everyone

The challenge at Dynamic Duos this week is to create a project using the following colours:

The dessert option this week is to add ribbon – which I’ve done as I pretty much add ribbon to all my cards! My card is designed also for Julee’s great sketch at Mojo Monday this week:

I’ve revisited an stamp set that I haven’t used in ages – Just Believe – and I’m not even sure if one of them had even seen ink!  Here’s my card:

Dynamic Duos #3

Hey Everyone

Each week the Dynamic Duos have a colour theme for us to create our projects.  This weeks theme is Black Tie with a Dessert Option – I’ve gone with the colours provided in the pic below, but I’m not sure if crimping qualifies as dry embossing. If it doesn’t qualify, then I’m going dessertless!

Here’s my card:

Pals Paper Arts #106 Dress for Success

Hey Everyone

I’m soooo not a cat person, but I think the photo Pals Paper Arts has used this week for their challenge – Dress for Success – is kinda cute.  The challenge is to use one piece of designer series paper, one sentiment and one punch. Check out the challenge and what the design team has come up with this week by clicking here.

This is what I came up with – it was actually really hard for me as I tend to layer with various designer series papers and on one card I generally stamp with about three sets of stamps.  Limiting me to one greeting had me thinking about this for ages.

Thanks for stopping by.

Products used:
Cardstock: Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Basic Black DSP
Ink: Black Stazon

Pals Paper Arts #103 – Sketch Challenge

Hey Everyone

At Pals Paper Arts this week we have the following sketch to inspire us.  Love this sketch so I sat down this afternoon to have a go at it.  I’ve used Fifth Avenue Floral (again) as it’s one of my favourite sets.  I had the Basic Black DSP in my leftovers folder so I decided to use it up and added in the extra striped piece just because it was sitting there!

Thanks for taking a look.
