Just Add Ink #313

Hey Everyone

It’s time for a new challenge at Just Add Ink.  This week our challenge for you is to

Just Add B

So that means we want you to create something starting with the letter B on your project.  I decided to create a baby card and have used the following things starting with B  – bee, black DSP, button, bakers twine & I’ve created a baby card.  It’s loaded with B’s!  All of my DSP and bakers twine were hanging around in a basket of unused stuff on my desk. Love it when I can use up some of the leftovers from this basket.

colourQ #337 & CAS(E) This Sketch #168

Hey Everyone

I had  chance to sit down today and create a card that I’ve combined for two challenge – colourQ Challenge and CAS(E) This Sketch Challenge.

I don’t really have many baby cards up my sleeve so I made this one to had at the ready if I need one. I gave my last one away to my newest great niece who was born a few weeks ago.  She was born a wee bit early and is a tiny little miss.  Now that she’s at her birth date, she’s still under 5lb.  I finally got my first hold last week and when her mother turned her back, I managed to sneak a few photos of her! I’m loving her sweet little face <3!

I’ve used some retired Stampin’ Up! sets called Elebration and the sentiment is from Baby We’ve Grown. Here’s my card:

Pals Paper Arts #289 & CAS(E) This Sketch #161

Hey Everyone

I found myself having some free time over this weekend so I managed a bit of “my-time” in my craft room.  The card I’ve made is combined for two challenges – Pals Paper Arts colour challenge and CAS(E) This Sketch challenge.

What started out with a quick and easy card yesterday turned in to a two day card because I decided to slap Crystal Effects on my balloons and sentiment.  That stuff doesn’t dry very quickly when you want it to!  The little owls I’ve used are from Stampin’ Up!s Baby We’ve Grown and my background stamping is from Timeless Textures and Balloon Celebrations. Here’s my card:

Just Add Ink #266

Hey Everyone

It’s colour challenge time at Just Add Ink.  This week the colours were suggested by Nikki.

I really like these colours and for some reason when I sat down with the colours in front of me I saw a baby card.  I’ve used a retired Stampin’ Up! stamp set call Baby We’ve Grown.  I adore the cuteness of this little bunny.  Here’s my card:

The Challenge #27

Hey Everyone

I’m here with a card that I created for The Challenge – a bi-weekly challenge where I am featured designer for the month of March.  You can use the colours or sketch from the pic below or you can combine both.  I chose to combine both:

I thought it was time to create a baby card.  I really don’t make them enough and I thought these colours would work well for little girls card. I tried to keep it simple and I think I achieved this (for once!). The sweet bunny and sentiment are from a Stampin’ Up! set called Baby We’ve Grown.

Card Concept #18 & Cardabilities #106

Hey Everyone

One of the things I love about challenges is that they do just that – they challenge me!  The challenge at The Card Concept this week is Back to School with the following inspiration picture to further inspire you.

CC18sketchI tried to do my best with what little Back to School products I had (Back to School is not really big in Australia).   To give me a helping hand with designing my card, I’ve used the sketch from this weeks Cardabilities challenge.  Here’s their great sketch:

Just Add Ink #203

Hey Everyone

Paula’s sketch at Just Add Ink this week is a great one! Take a look:

JAI203sketch

I haven’t made a baby card in ages so I thought it was about time I added to my stash.  Coastal Cabana is probably one of my favourite In-Colours at the moment (you could probably tell that with how much I’ve used it lately!).  I decided it would be a fab colour for a neutral baby card.  I’m a bit surprised that with how much I love this colour that I haven’t yet purchased matching ribbon.  Normally I would throw a bit of ribbon on my card to finish it off, but as I’ve been slack in ordering, I’ve used my new fringing scissors to add a border for a bit of interest.  I also got to use my new Stampin’ Up! set called Baby We’ve Grown. How cute are these little owls? The designer series paper I’ve used is a new one too from Stampin’ Up!s 2014 Occasions Catalogue called Retro Fresh DSP.
