Mojo Monday #401, Pals Paper Arts #255 & SUO Challenge #124

Hey Everyone

Another weekend has flown by again.  I didn’t get to spend much time in my craft room, but enough to create a card for three challenges – Mojo Monday, Pals Paper Arts and SUO Stars & Stripes Challenge.  Here are their inspiration pics:

As I’ve been on a star card roll lately I really wasn’t going to create another one, but as the challenge at SUO was Stars & Stripes I just had to!  I love stars for a masculine card. Here’s my card:

Create with Connie & Mary Challenge #344, The Deconstructed Sketch #190 & SUO Challenge #117

Hey Everyone

Don’t you just love it when a card comes together with ease?  This was my card today.  I think it helps when you get inspiration from three different challenges – the colours from Create with Connie & Mary, the sketch from The Deconstructed Sketch and the “Create a Teen Card” from SUO Challenge.

I love these funky colours for a teen card and of course it has to have bling! Here’s my card:

Freshly Made Sketches #162 & SU Only Challenge #109

Hey Everyone

It’s Wednesday again so that means a new sketch at Freshly Made Sketches.  This week our fabulous sketch has been designed by the lovely Kim.

FMS162sketch

I’ve dragged out an old Stampin’ Up! stamp set called Because I Care.  This card started with a me wanting to use a bee so I searched for a flower stamp that I could set my bee on. My little bee is from another retired Stampin’ Up! set – Nature Walk – and is coloured with blendabilities.  I’m also entering my card into the SU Challenge where the challenge is to create a Thank You/Thanksgiving card.

We’d love for you to join us this week with our challenge.  Head over to the challenge and check out the gorgeous inspiration from the Design Team.

Freshly Made Sketches #126 & SUO #91

Hey Everyone

I had a ball looking the 147 gorgeous entries that played along with my sketch at Freshly Made Sketches last week!  This week the fabulously talent Amy O’Neill is our hostess and she has created this totally cool sketch:

FMS126sketch

I’m loving the colour combination Sahara Sand and Crisp Cantaloupe- it’s a really soft and pretty combination.  Amy’s sketch gave me the opportunity to break open my new Sale-A-Bration banner stamp set called Banner Blast (I’m possibly the last Stampin’ Up! demonstrator in Melbourne to ink it up for the first time).  As I’m using banners I’m also entering my card into SUO’s Banner Fun Challenge.

We’d love for you to join us so head over to Freshly Made Sketches and link up a card – while you’re there check out the gorgeous inspiration from the design team.

Stampin’ Royalty #208, SUO Challenge #87 & Friday Mashup #141

Hey Everyone

I am LOVING that I am on holidays and can head out to my craft room on a weekday! It’s so nice to not be rushing around on the weekend trying to get all my housework done and then make time for my cards.  I even got a couple of hours of shopping in this morning – (are you even more jealous Karren???).  I’m going to be quick with this post as I’m now off to watch a movie 😉

The card I’m sharing I managed to sneak in for 3 challenges – Stampin’ Royalty sketch challenge, SUO challenge where we create a project using the colours I think of when I think of January and the Tic Toc challenge at Friday Mashup where I create a project with the Theme of Time.

When I think of January, I think of my sisters birthday.  Her birthstone is a Garnet and because of this, red is her favourite colour – so that’s the main colour I went with on my card.  I was initially looking to use Clockworks for my card, but decided to ditch that idea when I came across Sense of Time first.  It is still one of my favourite retired Stampin’ Up! sets.  I then added the blossom from Morning Meadow and was really happy with the end result – I’m hoping my sister will be too! Dynamic Duos #68, SU Only Challenges #78 & Cardabilities #81

Hey Everyone

I made this card earlier but have only just had a chance to post it now as we’ve just been out for a lovely Father’s Day dinner.  The challenges I’m entering my card into are the colour challenge at Dynamic Duos, SU Only Challenge where their challenge is to create a projecting with Ribbons & Bows and the layout is from the sketch challenge at Cardabilities.

I’ve gone for another feminine florally card using Morning Meadow and Summer Silhouettes.  My sentiment is from Petite Pairs.  My Perfect Plum ribbon is created by dyeing some Very Vanilla Seam Binding and the colour I’ve teamed with Perfect Plum is Pistachio Pudding.  Here’s my card:

Create with Connie & Mary Challenge #222 & SU Only Challenge #55

Hey Everyone

I’ve had a productive card making day today, oh and I cleaned the house as well.  I know which one I prefer to be doing!  Don’t you just love it when you actually feel like you’ve accomplished something?

The Design Team at Create with Connie & Mary have a colour challenge this week.  I have to admit these colours threw me as they are not normally colours I would put together. Summer Starfruit is a colour I’ve used a bit lately, but teaming it with Chocolate Chip and Gumball Green had me thinking….

I’ve teamed the colour challenge with the challenge at SU Only Challenges where their challenge is to create a project using texture.  This I was able to do.

Here’s my card:

And a close up of the main panel so you can see the texture I added to each square by embossing them each with a different embossing folder.

SUO Challenge 17

Hi Everyone

I found a new challenge to enter!  I stumbled (well, clicked) across the SUO Challenge from someone’s site – now I can’t remember whose site it was.  Their challenge this week is to create a Mother’s Day card.  I’ve used Basic Black, Very Vanilla & Wild Wasabi.  I ran the Wasabi through the big shot in the vintage wallpaper embossing folder to give it a “bit of something” and then added striped grosgrain ribbon to top it off.

Thanks for stopping by!

See ya
