Pals Paper Arts #322 & colour Q Challenge #363

Hey Everyone

I had a chance to play in my craft room today.  I created my card for two challenges – the sketch at Pals Paper Arts and the colour challenge at colour Q.

Stampin’ Up! Sleigh Ride Thinlits has been sitting unused since last year, so I thought it was well and truly time to give them a whirl.  The sentiment I’ve used is from Holly Jolly Layers and I’ve stamped it in Basic Black and Calypso Coral. To add newsprint to my card, I inked up Stampin’ Up!s Dictionary  (a retired stamp that I will never part with) and finger-walked it on my cardstock.

Here’s my card:

Pals Paper Arts #319 & Create with Connie & Mary Challenge #425

Hey Everyone

I’m back with the second card I created today.  I’ve combined my card for two challenges – the colour challenge at Pals Paper Arts and the sketch challenge at Create with Connie & Mary Challenge.

This is such a pretty colour combination and one I haven’t used before.  I’ve lightly watercoloured the flower from Stampin’ Up!s Birthday Blooms after I embossed it with white embossing powder.  I’ve used the watercolour and droplet type stamps from Timeless Textures in the background.  Here’s what I came up with:

Pals Paper Arts #289 & CAS(E) This Sketch #161

Hey Everyone

I found myself having some free time over this weekend so I managed a bit of “my-time” in my craft room.  The card I’ve made is combined for two challenges – Pals Paper Arts colour challenge and CAS(E) This Sketch challenge.

What started out with a quick and easy card yesterday turned in to a two day card because I decided to slap Crystal Effects on my balloons and sentiment.  That stuff doesn’t dry very quickly when you want it to!  The little owls I’ve used are from Stampin’ Up!s Baby We’ve Grown and my background stamping is from Timeless Textures and Balloon Celebrations. Here’s my card:

Pals Paper Arts #286

Hey Everyone

I managed make a card for this weeks Pals Paper Arts Challenge and even took a photo on the weekend, but didn’t have a chance to write this post until now.  My good friend Linda is this weeks sketch hostess at PPA and as soon as I saw it, I knew I wanted to play along.

I did something with this card that I never normally do.  I stamped my sentiment and I stuck my sequins on with glu-dots before I even worked out what I was putting on my card.  Glu-dots are sticky little buggers and don’t want to come off without tearing your cardstock. I realised I need to flip the sketch to work for my card work – I could then match up my twine with the button and fit my leaves properly.

Mojo Monday #431 & Pals Paper Arts #283

Hey Everyone

I love new stamp sets – they really get my creativity juices going again.  Birthday Blooms is perfect for watercolouring and, as I’m still on hols, I had a chance to practice my watercolouring today.

I’ve combined my card for two challenges – the sketch challenge at Mojo Monday and the colour challenge at Pals Paper Arts.

Pals Paper Arts #272

Hey Everyone

I’m probably the last Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator to put in an order from the latest Stampin’ Up! Occasions Catalogue. I’ve been flat out at work and haven’t had a chance to put in an order until just recently.  New toys have made me excited to spend time in my craft room!

The team from Pals Paper Arts team have designed the perfect sketch for me to use one of my new Stampin’ Up! stamp sets called Embellished Ornaments.

I’ve used my favourite colour combo at the moment – Tip Top Taupe and Blushing Bride.  Not a colour I’d normally associated with Christmas, but I really love these colours together.  Here’s my card:

Pals Paper Arts #270 & Cardabilities #132

Hey Everyone

The card I made today is for two challenges – Pals Paper Arts & the final challenge at Cardabilities.  Here are their inspiration pics:

I really like the colours at Pals Paper Arts for a Christmas card and dragged out a retired Stampin’ Up! set called Watercolour Winter. I love the holly from this set and applied my markers directly to the stamp to ink it up.  As always I used Gorgeous Grunge to the background and then added some Sahara Sand candy dots to finish it off.  Here’s my card:
