Merry Monday July Challenge – Week 4 & Retro Sketches #73

Hey Everyone

It’s week 4 of Lesley’s Merry Monday Anything Goes Challenge.

MMCJuly13pic

I’m missing Lesley’s sketches, so I found this weeks fab sketch at Retro Sketches to give me a hand with layout.  Love this sketch as it allows me to show off my DSP.  I used a retired Stampin’ Up! pack called Christmas Cocoa DSP.

Merry Monday July Challenge – Week 3

Hey Everyone

We’re at week 3 of Lesley’s Merry Monday Anything Goes Challenge for July.

MMCJuly13pic

I’ve gone with some non-traditional colours for my card to mix it up this week.  The colours I’ve gone for are Sahara Sand and Tempting Turquoise – a colour combo that I initially thought would be good for a change from my vintage style.

Merry Monday July Challenge – Anything Goes & The Paper Players #153

Hey Everyone

It’s week two of Lesley’s month long Anything Goes Christmas Card Challenge at Merry Monday.

MMCJuly13pic

The Design Team at The Paper Players have a Christmas in July theme challenge, so I’m entering my card into their challenge too!

PPC153pic

The designer series paper I’ve used is a retired Stampin’ Up! one called Candlelight Christmas Specialty DSP.  No matter many Christmas cards I make, I never seem to be getting to the bottom of my Christmas DSP pile.

Merry Monday July Challenge – Anything Goes!

Hey Everyone

Lesley our very creative and very busy Merry Monday creator is taking a blogging break for the month of July.  So she has given us the following challenge that will be open for entire month:

MMCJuly13pic

Yep, so for the month of July you can link up as many new cards as you want.  I’ll be creating my usual one a week and linking them up on a Monday.  I’m not organised enough to have created them in advance 🙂

I’ve used some new toys – a Stampin’ Up! stamp set called Mosaic Madness with it’s own matching punch.  You gotta love it when you get coordinating products that making stamping easy! This card was one of the quickest cards I’ve made once I decided what I was going to create.  I’m so used to Lesley’s sketches, it took me a sec to put a layout together in my head!

We’d love for you to join us for this month long challenge.  Head over to Lesley’s blog and check out the gorgeous inspiration from the Merry Makers!

Thanks for stopping by.

Merry Monday Challenge #68

Hey Everyone

It’s Monday, so that means another fabulous sketch for you to create a Christmas card at Merry Monday.

MMC68sketch

I had these retired Stampin’ Up! papers – Cottage Wall DSP & Nursery Nest DSP – on my desk so it was easy for me to throw them together on my card. Here’s my card:

Merry Monday Challenge #67

Hey Everyone

Lesley keeps coming up with the most amazing sketches for us to create our cards. Take a look at this fabulous sketch for this weeks Merry Monday Challenge:

MMC67sketch

I’ve gone with a monochromatic card using one of my favourite Christmas Stampin’ Up! stamp sets – Dasher.  He’s one retired stamp set that I don’t think I’ll be parting with in the near future.  The designer series paper I’ve used is from a retired Stampin’ Up! pack called Candlelight Christmas Specialty DSP.

Merry Monday Challenge #66

Hey Everyone

Yes, I’m back with a 3rd post today – you’re probably all sick of me by now! So I will keep this one short (probably coz I’m running out of things to say!) – people who know me will laugh at that.

It’s Monday so that means a new sketch challenge at Merry Monday.

MMC66sketch

Ok, so I’ve strayed from the again Lesley – I’ve already broken my promise from last week to stick to the sketch.  I really couldn’t get those points to look straight so I made them into banners instead.

Merry Monday Challenge #65

Hey Everyone

It’s Monday so that means another sketch at Merry Monday.

MMC65sketch

So I have a confession – I’ve strayed from Lesley’s sketch this week.  I didn’t take my computer to my craft room when I made my card – I decided to go from memory and obviously my memory sucks as I forgot to add the strip down the side.  As I’d had a busy weekend and didn’t make my card until the last minute I couldn’t change my card – sorry Lesley! I promise to get it right next week!

Here’s my card:

Merry Monday Challenge #64

Hey Everyone

I returned from my first ever Stampin’ Up! Convention last night and I am absolutely drained.  I don’t even know how to put everything that I experienced in to one post, so I’m just going to sum it up and say I had a ball! Have you ever laughed so much, you cried? That was me for most of the 5 days I was away.  I can’t wait for the 2014 South Pacific  Stampin’ Up! Convention in Melbourne (yay! – it’s in my home town!).

Now for the real reason for my post today – it’s Monday so that means it time for another sketch at Merry Monday! Lesley has given us this amazing sketch.

MMC64sketch

When I first saw this sketch it puzzled me and then once I sorted out my DSP, my card just fell together.  The designer series paper I’ve used is from a retired Stampin’ Up! pack called Parisian Breeze and once again I’ve used the baubles from Ornament Keepsakes.

You’re going to want to head over to Lesley’s blog and check out the fabulous cards the Design Team have created as I love them all!

Thanks for stopping by.
