CASE Study Challenge #116

Hey Everyone

Are you ready for something different?  I made a card with only two layers!!! Challenges are the best – they take you out of your comfort zone and try things you wouldn’t normally do.  Angeline is this months muse at CASE Study Challenge.  She uses minimal layers and they look so good! This is her beautiful card we get to CASE this week:

It was very hard for me to stop the layers from piling on, but I tried and this is what I came up with:

Thanks for stopping by.

CASE Study Challenge #112

Hey Everyone

It’s feels like ages since I’ve had a chance to play along with the girls at CASE Study Challenge.  This months muse is Julia Stainton – how gorgeous is this card that the design team have asked us to CASE this week?

The inspiration for my card came from the strips that Julia has used on her card, but instead of strips I’ve used rectangles.  I chose to use Basic Black and Very Vanilla as the colours on my card – nothing like Julia’s really, but I thought there was no way I could even come up with colours that look as amazing as  hers!

Here’s my card:

Thanks for stopping by.

CASE Study 2nd Anniversary Challenge

Hey Everyone

I haven’t had much of a chance to play along with CASE Study for a few weeks, but as soon as I saw their challenge this week for their 2nd Anniversary (well done on the 2 years girls!) I knew this challenge was right up my alley – it’s to design a project with your signature style.  Of course I’ve gone vintage – with lots of distressing and lots of  sponging. I attended Melbourne’s Heartfelt Stampin’ Event a couple of days ago and made this card in my signature style but haven’t been able to post it until today. I wanted my sentiment to match the whole Heartfelt theme but as I didn’t have a stamp that said Heartfelt, I printed one out from my computer.

The girls have all got together and organised a blog hop – head over to their challenge blog and check it out by clicking here – you’ll be totally inspired by all the creativity goin’ on.

Thanks for stopping by.

Cheers

CASE Study Challenge #86

Hey Everyone

I’ve been off work today as I caught what all my family has had throughout the school holidays.  For them it was called man-flu, but for me it’s a cold so all I’ve been able to do is sleep and laze on the couch.  I made this card on Sunday for this weeks CASE Study Challenge but haven’t had a chance to put this post on until tonight.

CASE Study’s talented muse for the month of April – Laurie Schmidlin – has created the following card.  How gorgeous is this vintagey creation?

Here’s my take on her card:

Thanks for stopping by.

CASE Study Challenge #72

Hey Everyone

Here’s my 3rd and final post for today.  My card tonight is for the challenge at CASE Study Challenges – click here to take you to their blog and check out the creativity going on there.  I pulled out an old favourite tonight – Favourite Teddy.  When I first heard about Stampin’ Up! I was shown this set and I HAD to have it.   It was retired by this time, so my SIL Jules found it on ebay in America for me. I can’t quite remember how much I paid for it, but it didn’t matter and I think I paid as much for postage as I did for the stamp set!

CASE Study Challenges muse this month is Jen Rzasa and this is her card that we used for inspiration:

CASE Study Challenge #63

Good Evening Everyone

This card is for this weeks challenge at CASE Study Challenge.  Niki Estes has been October’s muse and I have loved every one of her cards.  This is her card below:

My layout is similar but I decided to go with more neutral colours as I am giving my card to someone special who has recently lost a family member.  I’m not a big fan of “with sympathy” worded cards , so I wanted mine to say “thinking of you” instead.

Thanks for taking a look.

CASE Study Challenge #62

Hey Everyone

This card I’ve made is for this weeks challenge at CASE Study Challenge – you can check out their blog by clicking on their name.  Their muse this month is Niki Estes and you can check out her gorgeous blog by clicking here.

This is her card that we CASEd this week:

Instead of the background stamping on the card – I’ve used the spotted DSP from Beau Chateau. As I can’t sew for the life of me, I scored lines around the edge of the main panel (not sure if you can see this on my photo). Anyway, I stayed pretty true to the Niki’s design and this is what I came up.

I made a thank you card this week as I wanted to thank a fellow stamper who sent me some gifts after I made mention in a previous post about missing out on ordering some ink, refill & marker when they retired.  I was completely blown away with her generosity and was reminded how friendly our group of stampers are.

Thanks for taking a look.

Products Used:
Cardstock: Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla, Beau Chateau DSP, Old Olive
Ink: Crumb Cake
Stamp Set: Precious Butterflies
Other Products: Fancy Flower Punch, 5 Petal Flower Punch, Antique Brad

CASE Study Challenge #61

Hey Everyone

CASE Study Challenges’ muse this month is Niki Estes and this is her card below that we got to CASE.

I love the idea of using fabric on a card, but as I don’t have any worth putting on a card – my card is fabricless. I’ve done a bit of distressing to give it a bit of a frayed look like the fabric is.

Thanks for stopping by.
