Freshly Made Sketches #386

Hey Everyone

The Freshly Made Sketches Design Team have a new sketch challenge to play along with.  Our sketch designer is the super talented Jen Brum.  Jen’s sketch is fabulous as are her creations!

For my card I’ve used products from Stampin’ Up!s Everything Is Rosy Product Medley.  This exclusive medley is available to Demonstrators and Customers for the month of may.  One of the products I love from this medley is the Rose Gold Foil Paper.  I’ve cut a circle of this with my 2 1/2″ Circle Punch.  I then added the flowers and leaves which are printed die cuts.  All you have to do with pop them out from the sheet they come attached to and adhere them to your card.  I then attached the ribbons and sentiment from the Everything Is Rosy Stamp Set.  I added some Basic Pearls and my card was done in no-time! Love quick and easy cards!

Here’s my card:

We would love it if you played along. Pop over to Freshly Made Sketches and see what the team have created.

Thanks for stopping by.

Just Add Ink #454

Hey Everyone

We have a new challenge at Just Add Ink.  This week is a colour challenge.  Take a look at the pretty colours have for you to try:

Graceful Garden is a stamp set that I am going to really miss when it retires in June.  I have totally loved everything about this stamp set and have used it many times for my cards – especially this rose stamp.

The roses are fussy cut and have been lightly watercoloured with Pineapple Punch and then given highlights with Blueberry Bushel in the petal lines.  I stamped the background stamp and then randomly lightly watercoloured with Coastal Cabana.  The sentiment I’ve added to my card is from Perennial Birthday.  Under the sentiment I added a strip of Blueberry Bushel Cardstock to tie in all the colours.

The team at Just Add Ink have created gorgeous projects to inspire you.  Pop over to the challenge and take a look.  We would love it if you could play along with this great colour combination.

Thanks for stopping by.

Freshly Made Sketches #385

Hey Everyone

It’s time for a new challenge at Freshly Made Sketches.  This weeks sketch has been designed by the wonderfully talented Kim Singdahlsen.

Stampin’ Up!s Everything is Rosy Product Medley will be available for demonstrators and customers to order from 1st May.  I’ve used the Everything is Rosy Stamp Set for my card and stamped the flowers and leaves in Melon Mambo, So Saffron, Pear Pizzaz and Old Olive Inks.  The sentiment I’ve used on my card is also from this stamp set – don’t you just love the words in this sentiment?

The die cut running down the side of my card is from the matching die set called Everything is Rosy Dies.  I’ve cut this in Whisper White Cardstock so the flowers stood out as the focal point on my card.

Here’s the card I created with the sketch:

We would love it if you could play along with Kim’s sketch.  Head over to Freshly Made Sketches and link up a card.  While you’re there, take a look at the wonderful inspiration that has been created by the design team.

Freshly Made Sketches #384

Hey Everyone

Welcome to the latest challenge at Freshly Made Sketches.  This week our sketch has been designed by the uber talented Linda Callahan.

Can you believe I only recently received First Frost?  What was I thinking in not purchasing this when it first became available?  These flowers are just the sweetest! I’ve inked the smaller flower in Gorgeous Grape Ink and the larger flower is stamped in Highland Heather Ink.  The leaves are cut with dies that match the stamp set called Frosted Boutique Framelits Dies.  The sentiment I’ve used is from First Frost and the DSP I’ve added to the background is from Floral Romance Speciality Designer Series Paper.

The team at Freshly Made Sketches have aced this weeks sketch. Pop over to Freshly Made Sketches and take a look.

Freshly Made Sketches #383

Hey Everyone

Welcome to another Wednesday and a new sketch at Freshly Made Sketches.  This week our fab sketch has been designed the amazing Jen Mitchell.

I gave myself a challenge with this card.  On the corner of my desk, I have a pile of unused bits and pieces that I hold on to just in case I might use them on a future card. My mission was to see if I could create a card using only discarded products.  Every image, die cut, DSP and sentiment was taken from this pile, layered and adhered to my card. Card done in less than 10 mins!

The butterfly I used for my card was fussy cut from Botanical Butterflies DSP.  The spotted DSP was also from this DSP pack.  The Mossy Meadow fussy cut leaves are from Jar Of Love – I had just the right amount for my card leftover from another project.  I was thrilled that I had a Mossy Meadow sentiment from Petal Palette also sitting in the pile that I could use.  The little round doily type diecut was cut with Chase Your Dreams Framelits Dies.  The Highland Heather scalloped edge was cut with my Be Mine Stitched Framelits Dies.

I’m sure if I tried this again, I couldn’t match a thing. I had fun doing it and it was actually quite satisfying dipping into this pile.

The team at Freshly Made Sketches have created wonderful cards.  Head over to the challenge and take a look at their gorgeous cards that will no doubt inspire you.

Thanks for stopping by.

Just Add Ink #451

Hey Everyone

This weeks challenge at Just Add Ink is a gorgeous inspiration pic.  I am loving the sweet colours in this pic.

The pink wall reminded me of this pretty vellum DSP from Floral Romance Specialty Designer Series Paper. The woodgrain DSP is also from this DSP.  The flower and leaves image I’ve lightly watercoloured is from All That You Are Stamp Set.  The sentiment I’ve used is also from this stamp set.

The team at Just Add Ink have created gorgeous cards that will inspire you. So head over to Just Add Ink and take a look.

Freshly Made Sketches #382

Hey Everyone

It’s Wednesday, so that means a new sketch at Freshly Made Sketches. This weeks sketch has been designed by the amazing Jennifer Timko.  We all adore her and love everything she creates.

This card came together so easy – mainly because I had this image already coloured on my desk discarded from a previous project. I then tied in my DSP and colours from the colours I’d already used on my flowers.  I took a piece of DSP from Botanical Butterflies and a sentiment from Needlepoint Nook.

The team have created wonderful cards. Pop over to Freshly Made Sketches and take a look.

Thanks for stopping by.

Freshly Made Sketches #381

Hey Everyone

We have a new sketch for you to try at Freshly Made Sketches.  This weeks sketch has been designed by the wonderfully talented Lee Ann Barrett.

This weeks sketch lends to clean lines and lots of white space.  I’ve added a strip of DSP from Botanical Butterfly DSP matted with some Basic Black Cardstock to my Whisper White Cardstock base.  I then fussy a butterfly from the same DSP to place on my leaves cut with my Wonderful Floral Framelits Dies. These were made with Pear Pizzazz Cardstock.  I then adhered the sentiment with some Braided Linen Thread and some Basic Black Cord underneath. A very quick and clean card for once!

The Clean Team have created gorgeous cards. Pop over to Freshly Made Sketches and take a look.

Just Add Ink #448

Hey Everyone

We have a new challenge at Just Add Ink for you.  This week the challenge for you is to:

Ok, so I might not have gone really creative for this challenge…… I had a busy weekend and at the end of the day, all I could think of was to use Jar Of Love Stamp Set as my “J” element.

For the background of my card I used a piece of this gorgeous printed vellum from Floral Romance Speciality Designer Series Paper.  I then took my Lace Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and some Sahara Sand Cardstock and ran it though the Bigshot (after spritzing it with water first).

These Jar of Love leaves are stamped in Mint Macaron and fussy cut out.  I then stamped the two-step flowers in Powder Pink and Flirty Flamingo Inks.  The centre of the flowers are stamped with Black Stazon Ink.  I had the word happy already cut out on my desk discarded from another project.  This die set that I had used for this sentiment is Well Written Framelits Dies.  The For You sentiment is also from the Jar Of Love Stamp Set.  I always keep strips of cardstock as I like layering them under sentiments – as I’ve done with this Powder Pink Cardstock.

Here’s my card:

The Just Add Ink team have created more inspirational things that start with “J” than me, so head over to the challenge and see what they’ve created.

Thanks for stopping by.

Freshly Made Sketches #379

Hey Everyone

It’s time for a new sketch challenge at Freshly Made Sketches.  This week our sketch has been designed by the talented Judy Rozema. Take a look at her fab sketch:

As soon as I saw the sketch, I knew I wanted to use Graceful Garden.  The roses match the sketch and gave me another chance to play around with colouring.  The colours I’ve used for my roses are Highland Heather and Elegant Eggplant Inks.  The leaves and stem are coloured with Pear Pizzazz and Old Olive Inks.

The base of my card is stamped with the background stamp from Graceful Garden in Black Stazon Ink.  I layered a strip of Basic Black Cardstock and a strip of spotted DSP from Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Paper.  I then took two pieces of Basic Black Bakers Twine and placed them across my card. I tied a bow with some offcut twine and adhered it to my card with a Glue Dot.  The sentiment I’ve used on my card is also from Graceful Garden – don’t you just love the font in this sentiment?

The team at Freshly Made Sketches have gorgeous cards with this weeks sketch.  Head over to the challenge and see what they’ve created.  While you’re there, we would love it if you could link up a card.

Thanks for stopping by.
