Merry Monday Challenge #40

Hey Everyone

I was just sitting here wording in my head what I was going to say in this post, when I realised I’d forgotten to let you know my news.  Lesley asked me if I’d like to stay on her Merry Monday Design Team until March!  Of course I said yes, so I’m a Merry Maker for a few more weeks – you’ll be seeing more Christmas cards for a while yet.   I’m happy to say I’ve kept my record of playing along with every challenge from the start of the year.  You should see my stash!

Anyway enough of my babbling – here’s Lesley’s sketch:

I’ve used my newbie Stampin’ Up! stamp set again – Watercolour Winter – love how easy colouring is when you use a two-step stamping set. Instead of two strips (like on Lesley’s sketch) I’ve torn my two strips of DSP to give it a more vintage look.  Here’s my card:

Thanks for stopping by.

Head over to Lesley’s blog and be inspired by the gorgeous cards the Merry Makers have created this week!

Merry Monday Challenge #28

Hey Everyone

It’s Monday, so that means a new challenge at Merry Monday.

Here’s this weeks sketch by Lesley:

You know when you have an idea in your mind, and when you sit down to create it – it ends up being different from what you had planned?  That’s what happened with this one. I’m not exactly sure if I’m loving it yet, but I think it’s growing on me! Plus I may have gone too far with my daubing 🙂

I hope you have time to head over to Lesley’s blog and check out the gorgeous creations the Merry Makers have created with this fab sketch.

Thanks for stopping by.

Cheers

Merry Monday Challenge #18

Hey Everyone

I’m loving Lesley’s weekly Christmas card challenge because I generally get to November and then am hurriedly trying to work out my Christmas cards at the last minute.  I’m not sure if that happens to everyone, but when I haven’t made a Christmas card in a while, it throws me and it take me ages to get into the swing of things.  By creating a card every week I don’t lose my “swing” and I find it easier to create. Does that make sense?

Anyway, enough rambling by me. Here’s my entry for this weeks Merry Monday Challenge.

Thanks for stopping by.

Products Used:
Cardstock: Night of Navy, Whisper White, Island Indigo DSP
Ink: Night of Navy
Stamp Sets: Welcome Christmas, Contempo Christmas
Other Products: Whisper White Satin Ribbon, Basic Pearls, Punch

Merry Monday Challenge #8

Hey Everyone

Here’s my card for this weeks Merry Monday Challenge.  Click here to take you to Lesley’s blog and join in the fun.  This way you have some Christmas cards up your sleeve for when “the season” sneaks up on you.

I’ve used the Notably Ornate frame instead instead of the sketch’s oval shape, but I have cut an oval for the stamp of the family and placed it inside the frame. And in case you’re wondering – it’s my mission in life to vintage pretty much every sketch and colour challenge I enter 🙂

Thanks for stopping by.
