Create with Connie & Mary Challenge #255 & Dynamic Duos Challenge #56

Hey Everyone

It’s Sunday night here in Australia and we have a public holiday tomorrow – yippee, another day that I can play in my craft room! I got a chance today for a quick play and created the following card for this weeks Create with Connie & Mary sketch challenge.

I’ve combined the sketch challenge with a the pretty colour challenge at Dynamic Duos. I was taken with the designer series paper that Janet from the Design Team used, so I’ve gone with similar papers.

I’ve just realised I’ve gone with another rolled rose card – I seem to be on a roll with them again! Here’s my card:

Mojo Monday #273

Hey Everyone

Has everyone recovered from Christmas?  I’m pretty sure I don’t have to eat for a week with all the food I’ve eaten over the last few days!

It’s taken me a couple of days to get back in to my craft room, but I headed back this morning for a short time to enter a challenge. Teresa has created this fabulous sketch over at Mojo Monday this week:

I’ve gone for a bit of a different colour scheme than what I usually go with – Basic Gray ad Not Quite Navy – both were inspired by the Stampin’ Up! DSP I’ve used called Fan Fair DSP.  Just for something different, the flower I used on my card is fussy-cut out from one of papers from this pack. Here’s my card:

Stampin’ Royalty #143 – Buttons!

Hey Everyone

It’s a cold and wet weekend (again) in Melbourne so I’ve taken advantage of this and have created a card for this weeks Stampin’ Royalty Challenge where they’ve given us the challenge of creating a project with Buttons on it.  I initially thought I’d make a card that had loads of buttons, but then decided to go with only one button and combine it with a stamp from the retired Stampin’ Up set called Sew Suite that has the word buttons on it.

Here’s what I came up with:

The Paper Players #101 & Dynamic Duos #8

Hey Everyone

I’ve had a couple of days of feeling unwell, so I haven’t been able to post this card until today.  I think this cold weather we’re having is getting to me!  I’ve made this card for two challenges – The Paper Players where Lesley has come up with the following great sketch:

And the Dynamic Duos colour challenge where this week the challenge is to use the following colours:

I have to say – I have never combined these colours together before, but I found I really like them and will probably use them again. Here’s my card:

Here’s a close up of the main panel:
