Merry Monday Challenge #64

Hey Everyone

I returned from my first ever Stampin’ Up! Convention last night and I am absolutely drained.  I don’t even know how to put everything that I experienced in to one post, so I’m just going to sum it up and say I had a ball! Have you ever laughed so much, you cried? That was me for most of the 5 days I was away.  I can’t wait for the 2014 South Pacific  Stampin’ Up! Convention in Melbourne (yay! – it’s in my home town!).

Now for the real reason for my post today – it’s Monday so that means it time for another sketch at Merry Monday! Lesley has given us this amazing sketch.

When I first saw this sketch it puzzled me and then once I sorted out my DSP, my card just fell together.  The designer series paper I’ve used is from a retired Stampin’ Up! pack called Parisian Breeze and once again I’ve used the baubles from Ornament Keepsakes.

Merry Monday Challenge #61

Hey Everyone

Lesley’s sketch at Merry Monday tested me this week – I guess that’s why they call them challenges!

MMC60

I think this may’ve been the first time I’ve used Stampin’ Up!s Medallion stamp.   It’s probably retired but I don’t even know (shocking of me not to know this, but I left my catalogue in the car and it’s too cold to go and get it!). I’ve used Silver embossing powder for the Medallion image as well as the baubles and to finish it off, I tied a bow with some Basic Black Taffeta ribbon.

Just Add Ink #148 – Just Add….Christmas

Hey Everyone

Our last Just Add Ink Challenge for 2012 has arrived.  This week our theme is to:

Just Add…….Christmas

I’ve gone with a neutral vintagey Christmas card.   The designer series paper that I’ve used is a retired Stampin’ Up! pack called Brocade Background. I really love the pattern on this Christmas bauble and thought it really looks similar to the print on the designer series paper.

Pals Paper Arts #148

Hey Everyone

The Design Team at Pals Paper Arts have give us the following colours to use for our projects this week.

PPA148pic

I have to tell you this card came about because of my mum.  She phoned me just before I was about to create my card and I told her I hadn’t opened my core-dinations cardstock as yet.  She also asked me to stamp up some holly from Watercolour Winter for her so I decided to use some on my card too. Thanks for the inspiration mum!

Merry Monday Challenge #35

Hey Everyone

It’s Monday so that means it’s Merry Monday time again. How are you all going with your Christmas cards?  I’ve got a pile ready to go – for the first time in years I’m organised.! Here’s Lesley’s sketch this week:

I’ve flipped the sketch on it’s side so it would fit my new Christmas stamp set – Ornament Keepsakes and matching framelits.  Here’s my card:

Dynamic Duos #22 & Mojo Monday #260

Hey Everyone

I’m back! Did you miss me? I’ve been on an almost 2 week holiday to one of my favourite places in Australia – Surfers Paradise.  For those who don’t know Australia, Surfers Paradise is a wonderful holiday destination that has beautiful weather (most of the time), gorgeous beaches and theme parks.  I jokingly told a friend recently that the only reason I had kids was so I could justify still going on rides at theme parks! That’s not the only reason I had them, I’m sure it was so they could complain to me about the road trip we took to get there – 2 days there and 2 days back! As wonderful as the holiday was, it’s nice to be home and back into my craft room.

Anyway, enough about me and now on to my card.  I made this card for the colour challenge at Dynamic Duos where their challenge this week is to create a project using Cherry Cobbler and one other colour of my choice. I’m also allowed to a neutral colour, so I’ve used Crumb Cake for this. I couldn’t find a Cherry Cobbler DSP that I wanted for my background so I’ve used this yummy Raspberry Ripple DSP, so I guess my colour of choice is Raspberry Ripple.

I’ve also combined the Dynamic Duos colour challenge with this awesome sketch from Mojo Monday.  I’ve gone with the square sketch this week.

Here’s my card:

Before I go, here’s a photo of the beach outside our resort looking back to Surfers Paradise.

And one of our resort pool (I miss it already!)

Thanks for taking a look.
