Mojo Monday #249 & Stampin’ Royalty #131

Hey Everyone

It’s a cold and wet, wet, wet day here in Melbourne today so I headed out to my craft room to make a quick card for the following challenges – Mojo Monday – here’s their sketch:

And Stampin’ Royalty, a challenge that I haven’t played along with in ages:

How pretty are these colours together? Here’s my card:

Thanks for stopping by.

Mojo Monday #247

Hey Everyone

Well the cold weather continued today in Melbourne.  I was absolutely freezing my toes off at my son’s footy game even though I wore my husband’s thick work socks!  I was really glad when the game finished so I could get back in the car and boost up the heater until I thawed out.

My card tonight is for the this weeks sketch challenge at Mojo Monday.  This week is round or square – I went square:

Freshly Made Sketches #28

Hey Everyone

Can you believe my month of Guest Designing at Freshly Made Sketches has come to an end?  This month has flown and I’m trying to find where it went.  I have thoroughly enjoyed my month of hanging with the DT and want to thank the Lesley and the girls for having me and for being so welcoming.  I also want to thank everyone that has left wonderful and supportive comments for me – it’s such a thrill to receive them!

Now for the fantastic sketch provided for us by Lesley – how cool is this one?

I made my card with Mother’s Day in mind.  I’ve used Crumb Cake and Very Vanilla for my card and dragged out my old faithful Stampin’ Up! flower set – Fifth Avenue Floral.  I can’t wait for the new catalogue as I’m hoping there’ll be some new flowery type stamp sets for me to play with.

Thanks for taking a look and if you have time, head over the to challenge and join in.

Products Used:
Cardstock: Crumb Cake, Crumb Cake DSP, Very Vanilla
Ink: Crumb Cake
Stamp Sets: Fifth Avenue Floral, Teeny Tiny Sentiments, French Foliage
Other Products: Hodgepodge (retired), Crumb Cake Seam Binding, Basic Pearls, Brads

Freshly Made Sketches #23

Hey Everyone

Tui has provided us with the following cool sketch for this weeks challenge at Freshly Made Sketches.

I was a little sidetracked today as I had kids in the pool splashing me thru the doorway while I was trying to make my cards.  For some reason I started with Baja Breeze seam binding as the starting point for my card and then I continued making the card from there.  As with my previous post today I’ve used Fifth Avenue Floral mainly because it’s an old fave and also because I had it out on my desk! Here’s what I came up with:

Thanks for stopping by.

Mojo Monday Challenge #229

Hey Everyone

I really love this weeks sketch at Mojo Monday.

I initially thought it would be a hard sketch – but I was really pleased with how quickly it came together (not my usual 3 hours to complete a card!).  I decided to use an old favourite stamp set – Fifth Avenue Floral – for my card and teamed it with Early Espresso cardstock (even though it photographs black) and Beau Chateau DSP.  Here’s what I came up with:

Thanks for taking a look.

Products used:
Cardstock: Early Espresso, Very Vanilla, Beau Chateau DSP
Ink: Early Espresso, Crumb Cake
Stamp Sets: Fifth Avenue Floral, Occasional Quotes (retired)
Other Products: Early Espresso Satin Ribbon, Basic Pearls

Cheers

CASE Study Anniversary Blog Hop

Hey Everyone

Whoo hoo! – Congratulations CASE Study on turning one.  What an  excellent idea to have a Blog Hop for your 1st Anniversary.  I have to ask though – did you think it would be easy for us to choose just one card to CASE when there are squillions of amazing cards to choose from?  I’ve been thru the Design Team and former Muses blogs a couple of times and decided I would CASE a card that I love created by Teneale Williams. Her cards are gorgeous and you can find her site by clicking here.

This is her card below that I’ve wanted to CASE for ages.

And this is my take on it:

I’ve kept the layout the same as Teneale’s and used the lilies (I think they’re lilies) from Fifth Avenue Floral.  I know earlier in the week I said I needed an intervention on this stamp set but after today I promise I will intervent (is that a word) myself.  And because it’s a Teneale CASE I decided I needed to spruce up the inside of the card – not something I normally do – but I admire it every time she does it.

Thanks for taking a look.

Products Used:
Cardstock: Basic Black, Very Vanilla, Basic Gray DSP
Ink: Basic Gray, Black Stazon
Stamp Sets: Fifth Avenue Floral, Artistic Etchings, French Foliage
Other Products: Antique Brad, Black Satin Ribbon, Daubers

See ya

Inkspirations Colour Challenge #80

Hey Everyone

I made this card on the weekend but ran out of time to enter it because of another busy weekend. This week at Inkspirations Challenges is a colour challenge using the following colour palette.

Not my usual colours, but I found they still look very pretty together.  I think I may need an intervention on my use of Fifth Avenue Floral, but it’s my go-to stamp set when I want something flowery.

Thanks for stopping by.

Products Used:
Cardstock: Concord Crush, Pear Pizazz, Peach Parfait DSP, Whisper White
Ink: Concord Crush
Stamp Sets: Fifth Avenue Floral, So Swirly Wheel, Fast & Fabulous
Other Products: Concord Crush Ribbon, Oval Punch, Scallop Oval Punch, Dots Embossing Folder

See ya
