Hey Everyone

I love great sketches and this is one of those!  Amy O’Neill is not only a talented card maker, she’s a superb sketch designer.  Here’s our latest sketch at Freshly Made Sketches:

One of my all time favourite Stampin’ Up! Christmas stamp sets is Evergreen.  It’s a retired set, but I love the shape of these trees, so I can’t see myself ever getting rid of it.  My little reindeer is from Cookie Cutter Christmas – a set I only recently purchased, so I thought I better give it a whirl.

I’ve kept it pretty simple – just three shapes.  Tip Top Taupe is my go-to colour now. I’ve combined it with Hello Honey and Whisper White. Another non-traditional colour combo that I like for Christmas.

I love this weeks theme challenge at Just Add Ink – our challenge for you is to:

Just Add Glimmer

I dug into a basket sitting on my desk that has loads of offcuts of DSP, cardstock and unused images I’ve stamps.  I also had this pre-cut glimmer circle sitting in there waiting for quite possibly this challenge.  My photograph doesn’t really show the black glimmer stars I’ve created for the tops of my trees.  I’ve used an off-cut of the same Champagne Glimmer Paper and ran my black ink pad over them to make them black.  This is because I haven’t yet put in a SU! order for some Black Glimmer Paper – I know, I’m probably the last in Australia to stock up on it!.   Here’s my card:

This weeks Just Add Ink inspiration pic is all about Christmas.  If you’re like me and leave everything until the last minute, this challenge will hopefully inspire you to get going early on your Christmas projects.

I received my Stampin’ Up! Gift Bag Punch Board a few weeks ago and thought it was time to give it a go.

While I had the papers and stamp sets out, I decided to make up some simple gift cards to go with my gift bag. They measure 7cm x 7cm when made up.  They are busy, but not as busy as my gift bag as people don’t tend to keep gift cards and I didn’t want to waste the ribbon or bling!

Hey Everyone

I’ve been a bit quite around here because I’ve been a tad busy lately.   Let me tell you – I’m missing my stamping time!

The challenges I’m entering my card into are Monday Monday’s sketch challenge and a challenge that I haven’t entered since I left their design team in August last year – Merry Monday.  I really miss the girls on the design team and also miss my regular Chrissy cards.  I’ve lost the hang of how to make a Christmas card so it took me a sec to get started today!

MMC101picI really love these challenge colours together and have decided that my card kinda reminds me of wrapped present with my big gray bow. This ribbon is one I haven’t really used much of, so today was my opportunity to give it a go.  The trees are from a Stampin’ Up! set called Evergreen and the sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Sentiments.
