Freshly Made Sketches #78

Hey Everyone

Sketches challenges are my favourite! Jen M is this weeks hostess at Freshly Made Sketches and she has created this fabulous sketch.

FMS78sketch

I mentioned on Sunday that I’d made another card using my Elements of Style stamp set, so that’s what I’m sharing with you today. I stamped the image twice, one for the main panel and for the second one I coloured in the flowers with my blender pen and More Mustard Ink, fussy cut them out and raised them up.  Can you tell I like to give my cards dimension?

Here’s my card using Howlstooth and Scaringbone DSP again:

The Paper Players Challenge #108 & Freshly Made Sketches #48

Hey Everyone

What a great colour combination Ann from the The Paper Players has given us this week:

I’ve combined these fabulous colours with Tui’s really cool sketch at Freshly Made Sketches:

Initially I was going to use these colours for a man card, but I thought that would be too predictable of me – so I’ve gone for a flowery feminine card instead (although that is probably predictable of me too!) :

Thanks for stopping by.

Stamping 411 #264 & Inspired by Stamping Inspiration Challenge #17

Hey Everyone

My card today has been combined for two challenges – Stamping 411 Sketch Challenge – here’s their sketch for this week:

And I’ve used the inspiration pic from Inspired by Stamping Inspiration Challenge – where the colours we’re to use are light blue, light yellow and light pink as our main colours. I think I’ve achieved this….

How good do those cupcakes look???

Thanks for taking a look.

Just Add Ink #114

Hey Everyone

Our challenge this week at Just Add Ink is to Just Add…. Jodene Tripp! After searching the many beautiful cards on Jodene’s blog I decided on this card (click here to check out her original post) .

I decided to use neutral colours that Jodene has also used.  For the panel I have pulled out my new framelits dies and cut two of the same size – one in Early Espresso and one in Very Vanilla.  I then distressed the Very Vanilla so that it was worn down around the edges so you could see the Early Espresso edge underneath.  I did this because I don’t like a wide mat under the Very Vanilla.

I hope you’ll check out Jodene’s blog and join us at this weeks Just Add Ink challenge.

Thanks for stopping by.

Cheers

Friday Mashup #17

Hey Everyone

I came across this photo for the challenge at Friday Mashup this week and entered because the combination of colours look so pretty together.  Tempting Turquoise is not a colour I use very often,  so I thought it was a good opportunity for me to try and add some colour to my usually monochromatic card style.

This is what I came up with:

JAI #72 – Just Add Colouring In

Hi Everyone

It’s my 3rd post the for day, I’m soooo on a roll again!  The challenge at Just Add Ink – “Just Add Colouring In” was just that for me – a challenge – as I found out that I’m really bad at colouring in.  My card started with a boat, marina mist cardstock and a scallop circle – this is how it ended!

I’ve used Pretty in Pink and Crumb Cake markers to colour in the flower from one of my favourite stamp sets Elements of Style.  I inked up the butterfly and then shimmered it with champagne shimmer mist, used basic pearls for some bling on it’s spine and then mounted it with dimensionals.

Thanks for stopping by.

Products Used:

Cardstock: Crumb Cake, Basic Black, Very Vanilla
Ink: Crumb Cake Ink & Marker, Pretty in Pink Marker, Black Stazon
Stamp Sets: Elements of Style, Strength & Hope, Artistic Etchings
Other Products: Antique Brad, Very Vanilla Satin Ribbon, Scallop Edge Punch, Circle Punch
