Freshly Made Sketches #439

Hey Everyone

It’s Wednesday, so that means it’s new sketch challenge time at Freshly Made Sketches. The sketch designer this week is this lil crafter who stresses like nothing else when it’s her turn to design one. Here’s what I came up with:

The card that I’ve made uses the Dressed To Impress Stamp Set. I am in LOVE with this set and the stylish images it has. I totally didn’t think I would love this set as much as I do.  The perfume bottle I’ve stamped has been given a quick colour with my Pool Party and Smoky Slate Blends. The little flowers from this set have been given colour with my Petal Pink Blends and the leaves with Mint Macaron Blends.  The sentiment I’ve used is also from the Dressed To Impress Stamp Set.  I layered some ribbon from the Flowers For Every Season Ribbon pack under the perfume bottle and added a ribbon holder die cut from the Dressed To Impress Dies. I added this little die cut to add a little something extra. Three Champagne Rhinestone Basic Jewels finished off my card.

The girls have made cards that make my sketch look awesome! Head over to Freshly Made Sketches and see what they’ve created.

Thanks for stopping by.

Freshly Made Sketches #435

Hey Everyone

As it’s Wednesday there’s a new sketch to play along with at Freshly Made Sketches.  This week our talented sketch designer, Kim Singdahlsen, has created a fabulous sketch.

Sometimes I can overthink which stamp set would be the best set to use for a sketch, but for some reason, using the Beautiful You Stamp Set came to me straight away.

The elegant image I’ve used has been coloured with my Pool Party and Smoky Slate Blends. The sentiment I’ve added to the layering is also from the Beautiful You Stamp Set.  After I layered all my strips of cardstock, sentiment and image, I felt my card was lacking in detail so I stamped some flowers from the Dressed To Impress Stamp Set and coloured them with Mango Melody & Pool Party Blends.  The little handbag fitted my fashion theme perfectly. This bag is fussy cut from the Best Dressed DSP.

The team at Freshly Made Sketches have created awesome cards with this weeks sketch.  Pop over to the challenge and see what they’ve created.

Artisan Design Team – Best Dressed Suite & Sale-A-Bration Second Release Blog Hop

Hey Everyone

It’s time for another Stampin’ Up! Artisan Design Team Hop.

Sale-A-Bration is an exciting time of the year—and it just got even better with more fantastic products to
earn! More products mean more creative possibilities to experiment with!  Sale-A-Bration would have to be my favourite time of year. For every AU$90 I spend from the Annual Catalogue or the January – June Mini Catalogue, I earn a free Sale-A-Bration item! Who wouldn’t love free product just for doing what I normally do?  Spending is pretty easy with the current catalogues we have.

Sale-A-Bration is available until 31st March and now there’s more items to choose from with a Second Release Brochure. The Stampin’ Up! Artisan Design Team have created one project using products from the January – June Mini Catalogue and the second project showcases items from the second release earned during the SAB period.

The card I created on the left has been made with the following items from the Mini Catalogue:

  • Dressed To Impress Stamp Set $31.00.
  • Best Dressed 6″ x 6″ .Designer Series Paper $20.00
  • Best Dressed Tassels $14.00
  • Thick Whisper White Cardstock $14.25
  • Petal Pink Cardstock $15.25
  • Petal Pink Ink $13.00.

By buying these products and spending AU$90, you then qualify for a Sale-A-Bration item free.  You can choose your free item from the first or second Sale-A-Bration brochure.

To create my card, I stamped one of the background stamps from the Dressed To Impress Stamp Set with Petal Pink Ink.  I then fussy cut a combination of flowers and perfume bottles from the Best Dressed Designer Series Paper.  The sentiment I’ve added to my card is from the Dressed To Impress Stamp Set also.  The sentiment has been stamped in Black Memento Ink. I added a strip of Petal Pink Cardstock under the sentiment to tie all the colours together.  One of the Best Dressed Tassels finished off my card.

For my second card I added a flower from the Flowering Foils Specialty Designer Series Paper. This pack of DSP is the item that I earned free for spending $90 before 31st March. As you can see, I fussy cut the flower and leaves directly from one of the papers. This pack of DSP is perfect for the avid crafter! The images and patterns on this DSP are perfect for adding colour to.  You can sponge, brayer, daub or use your Blends like I’ve done.

The flower is coloured with my Petal Pink Blends and the little buds are coloured with my Calypso Coral Blends.  I gave the leaves some colour with both of my Old Olive Blends. The bottle of perfume is from the Dressed To Impress Stamp Set. It’s been coloured with my Petal Pink Blends and Smoky Slate Blends.  You can’t quite see it in the photo, but I also gave some glitter to the lid of the bottle with my Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush. I had one fussy cut bloom left over from my first project, so I added it to near the lid of the bottle.  To be consistent, and to tie it in with my first card, I added a Best Dressed Tassel to my perfume bottle.

Dont forget! The Sale-A-Bration earning period ends on March 31, 2020. To get your hands on these products, make sure you get your order in by then.

Freshly Made Sketches #426

Hey Everyone

Welcome to my blog!  Every Wednesday the Freshly Made Sketches Design Team have a new sketch challenge for you to play along with. This week our sketch has been designed by my friend from down-under, Karren Johnson.

I think I may be addicted to the Dressed To Impress Stamp Set and Best Dressed DSP…… I love combining the images from the stamp set with fussy cut images from the DSP.

The designer series paper I’ve used in the background is from the Golden Honey DSP.  Black and white striped DSP is always very striking and is the perfect base for the pinks and greens in the images I’ve added to my card. I couldn’t resist adding a Best Dressed Tassel and some Gilded Gems Embellishments – never have enough pretties on my cards!

The girls at Freshly Made Sketches have created wonderful cards using the sketch as inspiration.  Pop over to the challenge and see what they’ve created.

Thanks for stopping by.

Just Add Ink #495

Hey Everyone

There’s a new challenge for you to play along with at Just Add Ink.  This week our challenge for you is to:

I’m all about comfort zone and when I saw this challenge, I may’ve panicked.  I was trying to think how I could combine all the colours of a rainbow on my card.  After my initial panic, I realised the challenge of combining the colours wouldn’t be as hard as I thought if I used the colours on these fabulous lipsticks from the Dressed To Impress Stamp Set.  I layered my card with Gorgeous Grape Cardstock and this pretty DSP from Best Dressed DSP.  The sentiment I’ve used is from the Dressed To Impress Stamp Set – love this matching sentiment for my lippy’s!

The team at Just Add Ink have created fabulous cards for the challenge.  Head over to Just Add Ink and see what they’ve created. While you’re there, we would love it if you could play along.

Thanks for stopping by.

Just Add Ink #493

Hey Everyone

We have a new challenge for you to try at Just Add Ink. This week our challenge for you is to:

As soon as I saw this challenge, I thought of using my All Dressed Up Dies as it has a stitched label and button dies.  I may have thought of creating a bag that features these dies initially, but ended up going with a card that uses them.  The blooms and leaves that have been added to my card are from the Best Dressed 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper. They’ve been fussy cut out and adhered to my card.  The background DSP is also from the DSP pack.

The buttons have been die cut and are made from Silver Foil Cardstock. I’ve kind of just layered them on each side of my stitched sentiment label.  The sentiment is from the matching stamp set to the dies, called Dressed To Impress Stamp Set. In the end this card was really quite quick to assemble.

The team at Just Add Ink have created wonderful projects that will inspire you.  Head over to the challenge and see what they’ve created.  While you’re there, we would love it if you could play along.

Just Add Ink #489

Hey Everyone

There’s a new challenge at Just Add Ink.  The challenge we have for you is to create a project using three of the colours from the pic below:

The three colours I chose were: Blueberry Bushel, Bermuda Bay and Lovely Lipstick.  The stamp set I’ve used on my card is called Dressed To Impress Stamp Set.  How cool are these images?  I have a friend who LOVES red lippy and I created this card with her in mind.  The background stamp has been inked up with Lovely Lipstick Ink and the lipsticks themselves have been coloured with my Lovely Lipstick Blends.  The stems of the lipsticks have been lightly watercoloured with Bermuda Bay and Blueberry Bushel Inks.  The flowers are also from the stamp set as well as the fabulous sentiment.  The DSP covered with lipsticks is from the Best Dress DSP pack – I had to use this piece because of the lippy’s.

The team at Just Add Ink have created wonderful and varied cards using the colours from the challenge. Pop over to Just Add Ink and take a look at what they’ve created.

Thanks for stopping by.
