Merry Monday Challenge #70

Hey Everyone

It’s Merry Monday time again!

MMC70sketch

Sometimes when I sit down to work out what stamp set I’m going to use on a card, I can sit for ages deliberating what will work best.  When I saw this sketch I thought of one Stampin’ Up! stamp set only – Dasher – he’s an oldie but goodie.  Not sure if you can tell, but I’ve stamped him once onto the circle and I then stamped him again to fussy cut him out and raise him up.  I do like dimension on my cards.  Here’s what I came up with:

Merry Monday Challenge #67

Hey Everyone

Lesley keeps coming up with the most amazing sketches for us to create our cards. Take a look at this fabulous sketch for this weeks Merry Monday Challenge:

MMC67sketch

I’ve gone with a monochromatic card using one of my favourite Christmas Stampin’ Up! stamp sets – Dasher.  He’s one retired stamp set that I don’t think I’ll be parting with in the near future.  The designer series paper I’ve used is from a retired Stampin’ Up! pack called Candlelight Christmas Specialty DSP.

Merry Monday Challenge #38

Hey Everyone

It’s Merry Monday time again! Here’s Lesley’s sketch this week that I’ve flipped sideways:

I’ve been digging through my stash of designer series papers and have come up with this retired Stampin’ Up! pack called Ski Slope.  Back when I was young (long time ago) we always had a saying – blue and green should never been seen, except when there’s a colour inbetween.  My inbetween colour is Early Espresso and I have to say I really love these colours together. That saying must’ve been sooooo 1980, because it’s not one I hear often these days.

We’d love for you to join us at Merry Monday – head over to the challenge and check out the gorgeous cards the Merry Makers have made this week.

Thanks for stopping.

Products Used:

Ink: Early Espresso, Crumb Cake Marker
Stamp Sets: Dasher (retired), Petite Pairs
Other Products: Baja Breeze Seam Binding, Circle Punches, Circle Scissor, Spritzer Tool, Button, Hemp Twine (retired)

Merry Monday Challenge #15

Hey Everyone

Gee, I’m on a roll today! This is my 3rd post but I have to confess I’m completely over my internet – it’s sooooo slow today and taking me forever to load a photo. My next card is for my weekly Christmas card challenge – Merry Monday.

Here’s my card using Twitterpated DSP – how versatile is this DSP?

Thanks for taking a look.

Cheers

colourQ Challenge #88

Hi Everyone

I didn’t play last weeks colourQ Challenge as I whimped out coz I seriously couldn’t make the colours work.  This weeks challenge was much more up my alley as they have used alot of my fave colours.

I have a workshop in a couple of weeks time and the ladies have asked me to make Christmas Cards.  I’m soooo not prepared for Christmas but when I saw these colours I thought I could make them work.  Who says Christmas has to be green, red and white???

When making this card, I had a reindeer issue.  I originally stamped the wet droplet looking stamp from French Foliage around the reindeer and it ended up looking like someone had taken shots at the poor bugger!!!  I had to trash that idea and start again.

Thanks for stopping by.
