Merry Monday Challenge #28

Hey Everyone

It’s Monday, so that means a new challenge at Merry Monday.

Here’s this weeks sketch by Lesley:

You know when you have an idea in your mind, and when you sit down to create it – it ends up being different from what you had planned?  That’s what happened with this one. I’m not exactly sure if I’m loving it yet, but I think it’s growing on me! Plus I may have gone too far with my daubing 🙂

I hope you have time to head over to Lesley’s blog and check out the gorgeous creations the Merry Makers have created with this fab sketch.

Thanks for stopping by.

Cheers

Merry Monday #25

Hey Everyone

It’s Monday again – can you believe how quickly these weeks are flying by? Good thing I’ve made a start on my Christmas cards as Christmas will be here before I know it!

Because it’s Monday, it means it’s Merry Monday Challenge time again.  Here’s Lesley’s sketch:

I’ve gone with an easel card with traditional Christmas colours for my Merry Monday card this week.

Here’s a photo of the card when it’s closed up:

And finally a close up to show you the main panel.

Head over to Lesley’s blog and check out the gorgeous projects the Design Team have created this week.  Thanks for stopping by.

Cheers

Merry Monday Challenge #16

Hey Everyone

Here’s this weeks sketch from Lesley’s Merry Monday Challenge.

I’ve gone with Christmas Lodge this week.  I really like this set but it hasn’t made it to the Australian catalogue as yet (so I had to buy it off ebay!).  I added some trees from Lovely as a Tree around the lodge to make it appear as if it was in the woods.  I then stamped it a second time and cut around it and raised it up to add a little dimension.

Thanks for taking a look.

Cheers

Merry Monday Challenge #5 & The Play Date Cafe Challenge #116

Hey Everyone

I sat down last night to enter Lesley’s Merry Monday Challenge and thought to myself that this may end up being a real challenge by the end of the year to find different uses for my limited Stampin’ Up! Christmas sets.  I combined Lesley’s sketch with the colour challenge at The Play Date Cafe and have ended up with a non-traditional Christmas coloured card.

Here’s my card:

Thanks for stopping by.

Colour Throwdown Challenge #173 & Merry Monday Challenge #1

Hey Everyone

I’ve been quiet for a few days as we’ve been painting our house (not fun!) so I’ve haven’t had a chance to head to my craft room and play until today.  I’m combining challenges for this card – Colour Throwdown Challenge #173 & Merry Monday Challenge #1 (which I’ve just discovered on Lesley’s blog). I said in a post a couple of weeks ago that I was kinda over Christmas, but after finding Lesley’s challenge I think it’s a great idea to make a weekly Xmas cards and that way when Xmas sneaks up on me this year – I’ll be ready.  It also gives me a chance to use my only used once Christmas set – Christmas Lodge.  We don’t have this set in Australia yet so I had to buy it off ebay.

Here’s my card:

Here’s a close up of frame that I made using Lots of Tags die in my big shot, my slot punch and threaded ribbon through to hold it down.  It also shows how messy I am with dazzling diamonds!

Thanks for stopping by.
