It’s time for a new challenge at Just Add Ink. This week is a colour challenge. Have a look at the colours we have for you to play along with:
So this is a colour combo that I would have NEVER tried if not for this challenge. I have to say that I absolutely adore it! I’ve kept my card mostly white with small amounts of the challenge colours.
I’ve chosen leaves stamped from the Forever Fern Stamp Set. The leaves were lightly coloured with Shaded Spruce and fussy cut out. The butterflies are from the Butterfly Gala Stamp Set. These have been coloured with both Poppy Parade and Petal Pink Inks. The sentiment I’ve used is from the Forever Friend Stamp Set. I added some ink splatters to the background – these are from the Forever Fern Stamp Set also.
The team at Just Add Ink have created lovely cards using these challenge colours. Take a look at the challenge and see what they’ve created.
Thanks for stopping by.
I’m counting how many days I’ve got left to start my Christmas shopping and am almost starting to panic – I swear I’ve lost a week of December. I did however, manage to whip up a gift box for this weeks Just Add Ink challenge at least.
When you’re time poor after having had a shocker of a day at work and running behind with a Just Add A Gift Box Challenge, I can recommend these fabulous little Kraft Pillow Boxes. They’re already assembled and all you have to do is pretty them up!
Starting from the pillow box up, I added a belly band of Basic Black Cardstock, a strip of Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Paper (available during Sale-A-Bration), a Whisper White circle punched with my 2 1/2″ Circle Punch, a Lemon Lime Twist label cut with my Pretty Label Punch, a strip of Basic Black Cardstock with angled ends, a strip of Whisper White 5/8″ Flax Ribbon and this fabulous sentiment from Butterfly Gala Stamp Set (available in the 2019 Occasions Catalogue).
These sweet little butterflies I’ve adhered to my gift box aren’t stamped images unbelievably – they’re actually fussy cut images from Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Paper. These saved me stamping and colouring time. Just what I needed when I was running behind. I then added a Linen Thread double-bow and a Gingham Gala Adhesive-Backed Sequin to finish off my gift box.
If you need inspiration for those last minute Christmas Gift Boxes – pop over to Just Add Ink and take a look at the projects the team have created.
