Create with Connie & Mary #188

Hey Everyone

This is the sketch from this weeks challenge at Create with Connie & Mary challenge.  Click here to take you to their challenge and join in the fun.

I dragged out an old favourite stamp set – Sense of Time – for my card.  I used the flourish from a retired set called Bliss to stamp on the clock and tag in Crumb Cake.  I also added a jumbo grommet to the seam binding (not sure if you can see it) for no other reason than it was sitting there!  Anyway, here’s my card:

Thanks for stopping by.

Mojo Monday Challenge #226

Happy Friday evening everyone

Alright, so I’m extremely excited about something and to find out what it is, you’ll have to come back tomorrow so you can share in my joy (I think you ladies will be more excited for me than the boys in family!)

My card tonight is for this weeks Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge.  The challenge is create either a round or a square card – I went with square coz it’s easier than finding a circle die or finding an envelope to fit it in!

Here’s my card: (it’s another vintage one with monochromatic tones, but I love this style!)

Thanks for stopping by.

Products used:
Cardstock: Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla, Basic Black, DSP, First Edition DSP, Love Letter DSP (retired)
Ink: Black Stazon, Crumb Cake
Stamp Sets: Established Elegance, Bliss (retired), French Foliage, Nature Walk, Kindness Matters (gee, I used a few this time)
Other Products: Black Satin Ribbon, Chantilly Lace, Circle Punch, Antique Brad, Basic Pearls, Button, Linen Thread

Pals Paper Arts #127

Hey Again

I’m back with another card.  You better be sitting down for this one – I used pink and it wasn’t even for a colour challenge!  I played around with colours for a while for Margaret’s sketch challenge over at Pals Paper Arts this week but I kept coming back to neutral colours (which I love, but I need to experiment more).  I looked after my niece and nephew during the week and sat down to make a journal with my niece who loves pink.  I liked how the journal turned out so I’m adding pink to my card today. Here’s Margaret’s great sketch:

I flipped the sketch just because it worked better for Bliss & Kindness Matters. Here’s my card:

Thanks for taking a look.

Case Study Challenge #34

Hi Everyone

For the month of April the talented Silke Ledlow is Case Study Challenge’s muse.  We get to use her designs for inspiration and create our own version of her design.

This is Silke’s card below that we used for inspiration.

For my card I used butterflies as well, but kept my card with the vintagey look.

Thanks for stopping by
