Freshly Made Sketch #440

Hey Everyone

Gee Wednesday’s seem to come around so quick! In a way I don’t mind. I probably want this year to be over. Anyone else with me?

Seeing that it’s Wednesday, it means a new sketch at Freshly Made Sketches. This week our designer of this fabulous sketch is Amy O’Neill. Amy is one amazing card creator who combines colours like no one else!.

I felt it was time for a man card and for the Sailing Home Stamp Set to get some ink.  The lighthouse and anchor image have been lightly coloured with Soft Suede, Crumb Cake Blends and Old Olive Blends.  After layering everything on my card, I realised it was a little plain, so I took the stitched die cut off my card and daubed the background with Pool Party Ink. I then stuck the sentiment back down. But that wasn’t enough, I took the little bird stamp and stamp them in the sky.  Of course it didn’t ink perfectly, so I took my Journaling Pen and gave them a quick touch up. Note to self: don’t stick everything down until I’m happy with the card.I love me some Braided Linen Thread with this stamp set, so I looped it over my card and stuck it with Glue Dots. The DSP I’ve added to the background was an afterthought too….this script DSP is from the 2020-2022 In Colour 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper Pack.

The team at Freshly Made Sketches have created wonderful cards. Pop over to the challenge and see what they’ve created.

Thanks for stopping by.

Cheers

Narelle

  1. Amy is right….beautifully detailed! I love the linen ribbon! Every element is perfect! And not a funny green little plant anywhere…..thank God….

  2. Oh wow! Narelle, this card is just gorgeous! I love the nautical theme. Love the background, that label and the braided linen thread. It’s absolutely amazing!!!
