A Yellow Ornate Style Card

Hey Everyone

One of the things that I have grown to love over my 11 years of being a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator is my love for colouring. When I first started stamping, if the image was an outline image, then I left it uncoloured. It took me ages to get up the courage to even try a Blender Pen, let alone an Aqua Painter. These days, thinking of what colour an image could be comes before I even start stamping.

This large floral image from the Ornate Style Stamp Set was made for colouring. I coloured all of my blooms with various blends – So Saffron, Daffodil Delight and Mango Melody. The leaves have been coloured with my Mint Macaron Blends. As always, I took my Dark Smoky Slate Blend and added shadow lines in the creases of the leaves and some flowers.

The strip of designer series paper I’ve added to the centre of my card is from the Flowers For Every Season DSP. I added some Linen Thread to this strip of DSP and added three Holiday Rhinestone Basic Jewels. From this pack I can always find rhinestones to match the colours I need for my cards.

The sentiments I’ve layered on my card are from the Ornate Thanks Stamp Set. I’ve given them a quick trim about the ink, so that they don’t take away too much from the image behind them.

Thanks for stopping by.
