Just Add Ink #502

Hey Everyone

It’s time for a new challenge at Just Add Ink.  Our challenge for you this week is a sketch challenge.  Take a look at the sketch we have for you to try:

One of the girls I work with rotates her dresses and even has a spreadsheet on how many times she has worn each dress. I really should do this with my stamp sets. That way each of them would get the same amount of love like her dresses! However, I’m too lazy for that….

I felt it was time that I gave Very Versailles some ink. The ink I’ve given my leaves was with my Stampin’ Write Markers.  I applied the following colours to my leaves image – Pumpkin Pie, Cherry Cobbler and Mossy Meadow.  I applied them directly to my stamp in that order so that I didn’t transfer the darkest ink onto my lightest marker.  I then huffed on the stamp with my breath and stamped the image onto Thick Whisper White Cardstock.  I repeated the process and then fussy cut the two images out.

I love the background script stamp from this set, so I inked it up in Crumb Cake Ink and stamped it on some Whisper White Cardstock. I roughed up the edges with my finger nail and gave the same treatment to Crumb Cake and Pool Party Cardstock. I daubed the edges of each of these with Crumb Cake Ink.  I had some strips of Pool Party and Bermuda Bay Cardstock sitting on my desk so I added them to tie all the colours together. I also had this strip of Braided Linen Trim left over from another project, so this was added too. The sentiment that I used is also from the Very Versailles Stamp Set.  To complete my card, I added three Champagne Rhinestone Basic Jewels.

The Design Team at Just Add Ink have created wonderful cards using this weeks sketch. Pop over to Just Add Ink and see what they’ve created. We would love it if you could play along.

Thanks for stopping by.

Cheers

Narelle

  1. My oh my this is gorgeous! And I used to write down on a calendar what I wore to work every day when I first started – once I had kids that stopped…lol…

  2. Beautiful card! I especially love the color of the leaves. But the fussy cutting of the branch is super impressive! I wouldn’t have tried it but now I am inspired!
