Hey Everyone
Welcome to my blog and a very special celebration at Just Add Ink! This week is our 500th challenge, so we are celebrating with a blog hop. You will have probably come from Rachel’s blog, but if you’re starting here, make sure you get around to check out the gorgeous inspiration the team at Just Add Ink have created.
For our special challenge we are giving you the challenge to:
For this challenge I wanted to use my Well Written Dies. These dies match the Well Said Stamp Set. The birthday sentiment I’ve added to my card comes from this stamp set.
I went bold with my image and colour choice. The rose images are fussy cut from a background stamp called Breathtaking Bouquet Stamp Set. I coloured these roses with my Cherry Cobbler Blends and added some shadows and definition with my Smoky Slate Blends and Journaling Pen. The leaves are from another stamp set called To A Wild Rose Stamp Set. The leaves have been coloured with my Soft Seam Foam and Smoky Slate Blends.
To add some interest to the background behind my roses, I stamped the french script stamp from the Parisian Beauty Stamp Set in Crumb Cake Ink. I have always love the combination of black, white and red, so I couldn’t resist adding a strip of the Golden Honey Specialty DSP. I added some Linen Thread and tied a bow under the sentiment to finish off my card. Because of the business of the roses and DSP I haven’t added any bling for once. I didn’t think it needed any bling to detract from those roses!
The next hop along the way is the lovely Chantell Randall! Click here to take you to her blog or on the button below. Happy hopping!
Thanks for stopping by.
Cheers
