Hey Everyone
We have a new sketch for you at Freshly Made Sketches. This week our sketch has been designed by the talented Jacquie Southas.
Before I started my card, I’d decided to use a different colour combination for me. I chose Petal Pink and Call Me Clover – a combination I haven’t used before. In fact, Call Me Clover would be the only green that hasn’t seen much ink on my projects. In order of greens, I would reach first for Pear Pizzazz, then Old Olive, Mint Macaron and then Soft Sea Foam.
I like to rotate my floral stamp sets so they all get a bit of love from me and so you don’t see the same images over and over on my cards. It was time that I used the Timeless Tropical Stamp Set and especially this Hibiscus Flower image. I stamped the flowers in Black Memento Ink and then coloured the petals with Petal Pink Blends and Mango Melody Blends. I took my Smoky Slate Blends and added colour around the centre of the flower to create depth to the image. The leaves have been coloured with my Call Me Clover Blends.
I used this script piece of DSP from Parisian Blossoms Specialty Designer Series Paper, because it’s Petal Pink and because I love it so much! I added a Call Me Clover Cardstock diecut, cut with my Stitched Nested Labels Dies. I love me some bling, so I added some Champagne Rhinestone Basic Jewels. Finally, I had a wood edgelit from the Country Club Elements sitting on my desk, so it got added to my card.
The team at Freshly Made Sketches have created wonderful cards using this weeks sketch. Pop over to the challenge and see what they’ve created.
Thanks for stopping by.
Cheers
Narelle
Very pretty! I don’t use Call Me Clover very much either, but I love how it looks with the Petal Pink here. And of course, your flower arrangement is perfect!
This is so pretty!! I like the Call Me Clover on this card. It draws the eye in to those beautiful flowers. Great design!
This is so beautifully layered, Narelle! I love the clover green!
This is such a pretty card Narelle! I love that colour combination and probably would never have thought to use it but it’s beautiful! Love those flowers!
I struggle to use Petal Pink but it is gorgeous here – great with the green!
Beautiful!! The Clover is such a rich base for the Petal Pink!
This is such a pretty card, Narelle! The color scheme is delightful and I love the script background.
These tropical flowers are so pretty and leave me dreaming of exotic places! I think I have cabin fever, lol.
