Freshly Made Sketches #416

Hey Everyone

We have a new sketch at Freshly Made Sketches for you.  This fab sketch has been designed by the super talented Amy O’Neill. This happens to be the last challenge for 2019 while we take a break over the festive period.  The challenge will be open longer than normal, so you have plenty of time to create a card to link up to the challenge.

I was in love with this sketch as soon as I saw it.  I reached for my Come Sail Away Designer Series Paper pack and chose a piece of striped DSP. I then chose to create a feminine card rather than a masculine one you’d expect with this DSP.  I love that this DSP works for a feminine card. I added a piece of Balmy Blue Cardstock behind the DSP and went from there with the rest of my colour palette.

The images and sentiment I’ve used on my card are from Positive Thoughts Stamp Set – a stamp set that will be available to order in January from the 2020 Stampin’ Up! Mini Catalogue.  The gorgeous little butterfly has been stamped with Black Memento Ink and coloured with a combination of Night of Navy, Balmy Blue and Seaside Spray Blends. The leaves have been stamped with Soft Sea Foam Ink and have been fussy cut out. The blue rhinestones are Noble Peacock Rhinestones – pretty much my favourite rhinestones at the moment!

The cards the team have created are just gorgeous. Why don’t you click here and head over to the challenge to take a look?

Thanks for stopping by.

Cheers

Narelle

  1. Gorgeous card Narelle! I just love that striped paper and the butterfly is just gorgeous! Those blue rhinestones are amazing! I may have to investigate those further! Rhinestones are my fav!

  2. This is such a lovely combination. The stripes are such a fresh background for the sweet butterfly and soft stem. Hope you have a very Merry Christmas!!

  3. Soft and pretty! I love the clean, fresh look the striped paper provides. Wishing you a happy new year, Narelle!
